HEALTHY GINGER BISCUITS
These ginger biscuits are very easily made with wholesome ingredients and are perfect for a healthy snack.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (fan 180°, gas mark 5). Prepare two baking trays with greaseproof paper. Sift the flour into a large bowl and add the oatbran, bicarbonate of soda, ginger and cinnamon.
- Melt the butter, golden syrup and honey in a small pan over a low heat. Pour over the dry ingredients.
- Mix well and bring together with hands to make a firm dough.
- Prepare a lightly floured surface and roll out half of the dough to roughly 5mm thick. Use any shaped cutters (preferably around 5-8cm in diameter) to stamp out the biscuits. Transfer to a baking tray and repeat with the other half.
- Bake for around 10 minutes, or until slightly browned. Don't worry if the biscuits aren't hardened yet as they do when they cool down. Transfer to a wire rack and leave to cool for about 10 mins.

- You can use a medium mixing bowl for this step. Sift together your flour, baking soda, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, allspice and cloves. You can set this aside for a moment.
- In a mixing bowl while you use an electric mixer, cream together your brown sugar alternative, butter, egg and molasses substitute.
- Now, gradually add your dry ingredient from the first bowl to the mixing bowl, a quarter at a time, mixing between additions.
- When the mixture is blended remove from the bowl and split the dough in half. Roll out each individual half of your dough on some plastic wrap . Roll your dough to about 1/4" to 1/8" thick. If your dough seems sticky simply sprinkle it with a small amount of additional flour. Wrap and refrigerate your dough for at least 3 hours.
