So crisp and yummy. And so simple. Cooking time is chill time. I posted this for Zaar World Tour 05.

Ingredients

1 cup dry white wine
2 tablespoons sugar
2 slices lemon zest
2 pints strawberries, hulled and sliced thin

Steps:

In a bowl, combine the wine, sugar, and lemon zest.
Stir to dissolve the sugar.
Add the berries and mix well.
Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Serve in stemmed glasses.
NOTE: These are alchoholic, so it's not recomended to serve these for children. For a non-alchoholic version, replace the wine with sparling white grape juice or cider.

2/3 cup white grape juice
9 to 10 fresh strawberries, divided
4 ice cubes

Steps:

In a blender, combine the juices, six strawberries, ice and sugar if desired. Cover and process until smooth. Serve in chilled glasses. Garnish with remaining strawberries.

3 cups water
5 cups sliced fresh strawberries
3/4 to 1 cup sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 teaspoons grated lemon zest
1 cup ginger ale
Crushed ice
Additional strawberries, optional

Steps:

In a blender, process the water, sliced strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice and zest in batches until smooth. Strain the berry seeds if desired. Pour mixture into a pitcher; stir in the ginger ale. Serve in chilled glasses over ice. If desired, garnish with strawberries.

1 orange
1 (750 ml) bottle chilled white wine, such as Riesling
1 (15-ounce) can sliced peaches in heavy syrup
1/2 cup orange flavored liqueur (recommended: Cointreau)
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup sugar

Steps:

Slice orange and set aside. Add wine, peaches and their syrup, liqueur, orange juice, and sugar to a large pitcher, and stir to combine. Add orange slices to pitcher. Cover tightly and refrigerate for 1 hour. Pour into 6 wine glasses and serve immediately.
