It only takes 30 minutes to whip up our Strawberry Banana Pancake Kebabs. Spear yummy pieces of pancakes, strawberries, and bananas and drizzle with strawberry jam. They're the perfect wake-up call for slumber parties.

2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
1 cup milk
2 eggs, lightly beaten
24 strawberries
2 bananas
24 wooden skewers
1/2 cup strawberry jam

Steps:

  • Heat large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  • In large bowl, beat Bisquick mix, milk and eggs with whisk.
  • For each pancake, pour quarter-size amount of batter onto hot griddle. Cook until bubbly on top and set on edges. Turn, and cook on other side until golden.
  • Cut tops and bottoms off strawberries, and cut each strawberry into 2 pieces. Cut each banana into 12 slices.
  • To assemble pancakes, thread 1 pancake on each skewer. Add strawberry slice, banana slice, another strawberry slice and then another pancake.
  • When ready to serve, heat jam in microwave just until thin enough to drizzle. Drizzle small amount of jam over top of each of the pancake stacks.

1 cup flour
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking powder
1 pinch salt
1 egg
1 ¼ cups milk
1 tablespoon butter, melted
strawberry, sliced
banana, sliced
powdered sugar, to taste
maple syrup, to taste

Steps:

  • In a large mixing bowl combine the dry ingredients by sieve.
  • Beat together the egg, milk and butter in a separate bowl, then combine with the dry ingredients.
  • Gently whisk the mixture just enough to moisten the flour to be sure not to over mix. Transfer the batter into a larger squeeze bottle.
  • On a non-stick pan, squeeze a quarter-sized amount of the batter. Flip when bubbles rise and the bottom has browned.
  • When the pancakes are done, start assembly from bottom to top with a pancake, strawberry, banana. Repeat twice finishing with a pancake on the top and a skewer down the center. NOTE: Feel free to use any fruit combinations to your liking.
  • Finish with powdered sugar and maple syrup.
  • Enjoy!

2 tablespoons white sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

¾ cup milk
1 large egg
1 tablespoon melted unsalted butter
1 teaspoon amaretto extract
1 pint strawberries, sliced horizontally
1/4 cup blueberry cream cheese spread (such as Philadelphia®)
1 medium banana, sliced
1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar, or to taste
10 bamboo skewers, or as needed

Steps:

  • Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl. Whisk milk, egg, butter, and amaretto extract together in a second bowl. Pour wet ingredients into the flour mixture, and mix until batter is well combined and smooth.
  • Heat a large nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Drop teaspoonfuls of batter onto the hot skillet to form 1-inch diameter pancakes. Cook for about 1 to 2 minutes, flip, and continue cooking until golden brown, about 1 more minute. Transfer cooked pancakes to a plate and repeat with remaining batter.
