SPAGHETTI AND SPICY MEAT SAUCE RECIPE
Steps:
- Pour the oil into a large, deep saucepan and heat on medium temperature.
- Add garlic to the oil and saute for 1 minute.
- Add ground beef to the pan and use a flat, wooden spatula to break it apart. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until just brown.
- Pour crushed tomatoes into the pan, then add the remaining ingredients. Stir to combine. Bring to a boil, then turn the temperature down to medium-low. Allow your spicy meat sauce to cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Fill a medium stock pot with water. Place on the stove and heat on high to boil. Add spaghetti noodles to the water and return to boil. Turn temperature down to medium and continue to cook for the time allotted on the packaging.
- Drain spaghetti in a large colander and rinse with cool water to reduce stickiness.
- Use a spaghetti fork to place into individual serving bowls. Cover the spaghetti with a large scoop of Spicy Meat Sauce and serve hot.
- Serve with a garden salad and garlic bread.

MEATY SPAGHETTI SAUCE
My homemade spaghetti sauce got rave reviews, but it was so time-consuming to make on the stovetop. My family loves this flavorful slow-cooker version. -Arlene Sommers, Redmond, Washington

SPICY TOMATO MEAT SAUCE FOR SPAGHETTI FROM PLAYBOY MAGAZINE
I got this many years ago from a Playboy Magazine, lol. It's not a real thick sauce, you could add some tomato paste if you want it thicker. We like it just the way it is. I serve it on vermicelli, my personal preference, with garlic bread and a salad.

Steps:
- Saute yellow/green onions, celery, garlic, mushrooms, and bell pepper in olive oil until vegetables begin to soften.
- Add meat, water, tomatoes, and seasonings to vegetables. Bring to boil, then reduce to medium heat, stirring about every 20 minutes. Cook for 2 hours.
- Begin to add tomato paste (15 oz at a time. Then wait 10 minutes to check consistency. 30 oz will make a semi thin sauce. You will need to add more tomato paste to thicken the sauce for lasagna).
- Note: You can add more tomato paste for a thicker sauce.

SPICY SPAGHETTI SAUCE
This was one of those "accident" recipe's that turned out really great. I was making spaghetti one night and when I went looking for a jar of sauce there wasn't any. The only thing close to a tomatoe base sauce was something that I picked up from a specialty store. You can make it one of two ways (that I've tried anyhow). The first is how I made it the other night with less of a kick. Or with a spicy kick like I made it the first time. The ingredients that say "optional" those are the ones that I added to give it more of a consistency and color. Plus it tamed it. Either way I feel this is pretty good.

Steps:
- Cook the ground beef on a medium to low flame. If you choose to not use this method, then put a few tablespoons of oil in the pan and cook only half of the bag of meatballs. Or as many as you want.
- Once the ground beef has started to change to a light pink, drain the excess oils and add the frozen meatballs. Cook until the ground beef is cook all the way through and until the meatballs are no longer frozen.
- Now add your Pataka's Original Cooking sauce. Then take the 1/2 cup milk and put it in the jar of the cooking sauce to get the excess sauce that remains and add it to the pan.
- Add the diced tomatoes and the bell peppers continue to cook on a medium flame until the sauce starts to simmer and reduce to a low flame. Continue cooking until the bell peppers are soft -- or if you like a little crunch just cook until they are warm.
- Toss with your favorite pasta and enjoy!
- *Note: The cooking sauce only comes in a 15 ounce jar, the site was giving me a hard time. If you like all of the extra ingredients and still want more of a kick you could always add half a jar more of the Pataks Cooking Sauce.
