Sour Cream Spinach Dip Food

SOUR CREAM SPINACH DIP RECIPE

Steps:

• Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Add the carrots, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally until the vegetables are soft. Remove to a large bowl and set aside.
• Return the pan to the heat, add half of the spinach, and sprinkle with salt. Cook, stirring occasionally until the spinach is wilted. Add the remaining spinach and cook, as before, until all the spinach is wilted.
• Remove the spinach to a colander in the sink. Press on the spinach to remove liquid. Once cool enough, use clean hands to squeeze out as much liquid as possible.
• Next, use layers of paper towels to again squeeze any residual moisture out of the spinach. Remove the paper towels, finely chop the spinach, and add to the bowl with the vegetables.
• Add the sour cream, mayonnaise, Worcestershire, and lemon juice and stir to combine. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill the dip for 2 hours or longer before serving.

SPINACH DIP

Steps:

• In a blender or food processor, finely mince the garlic and scallions. Add the remaining ingredients, except the bread and paprika and blend until smooth. Taste and adjust the seasonings. Refrigerate for up to 2 days. Just before serving, make a bread bowl: Cut about an inch off the top of the round of bread and save it for a lid. Remove the bread from the center, hollowing out the loaf. Stir the dip well and place in the bread bowl. Sprinkle lightly with paprika. Serve the removed bread chunks along with crudites for dipping.

KNORR SPINACH DIP

Steps:

• Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
• Cover and chill in the refrigerator about 2 hours.
• Serve with your favorite dippers to your favorite people.
• A new serving idea: Hollow out cucumber slices and cherry tomatoes.
• Fill vegetables with spinach dip and garnish with a sprig of dill.
• MAKES 4 cups dip.

CREAMY DILL SPINACH DIP

Steps:

• Mix sour cream and mayo.
• Add well drained spinach and remaining ingredients.
• Refrigerate immediately for at least an hour before serving. (I like it better refrigerated overnight).
