- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook sausages, turning to brown all sides, 4 to 5 minutes.
- Place browned sausage in slow cooker. Add the peppers, onions, garlic, and Ragu® Old World Style® Traditional Pasta Sauce to the slow cooker; stir. Turn to low and cook for 6 to 8 hours.
- Serve over slices of hearty fresh bread; garnish with fresh basil.

Steps:
- Boil water and add in the sausage. Cook for about 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, julienne, or slice the peppers and onions.
- In a crock pot, add 1/2 of the tomato sauce and the half of the veggies.
- When sausage is cooked somewhat, slice it and then add it to the crock pot along with the rest of the peppers and onions.
- Then add in the seasonings, salt and pepper and then the rest of the tomato sauce.
- Give it all a stir, mix so that it is all melded together.
- Slow cook for 3-6 hours or overnight.
- Serve on rolls and enjoy!

- Fry the onion and celery in the oil over a low heat until it starts to soften and cook, about 5 mins, then spoon it into the slow cooker. Fry the carrots briefly and add them too.
- Brown the sausages all over in the same frying pan - make sure they get a really good colour because they won't get any browner in the slow cooker. Transfer to the slow cooker and add the sweet potato and tomatoes.
- Put the purée in the frying pan and add 250ml boiling water, swirl everything around to pick up every last bit of flavour, and tip the lot into the slow cooker. Add the herbs, stock cube and some pepper. Don't add salt until the casserole is cooked as the stock can be quite salty. Cook on high for 4 hrs or on low for 8 hrs, then serve or leave to cool and freeze.
