SLOW-COOKER GLAZED PORK ROAST WITH CARROTS AND CORN

Steps:
- If pork roast comes in netting or is tied, remove netting or strings. Remove fat from pork. In 3- to 4-quart slow cooker, place pork. Arrange carrots around and on top of pork. In small bowl, mix 1/2 cup barbecue sauce, the honey, vinegar and seasoned salt; pour over pork and carrots.
- Cover; cook on Low heat setting 8 to 10 hours.
- Remove pork and vegetables from cooker; place on serving platter. Cover to keep warm.
- In small bowl, mix 2/3 cup barbecue sauce and the flour; gradually stir into juices in cooker. Increase heat setting to High. Cover; cook about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Stir in corn. Cover; cook 5 minutes longer. Serve sauce over pork and vegetables.

SLOW-ROASTED HONEY GLAZED PORK RECIPE BY TASTY
Here's what you need: soy sauce, granulated sugar, garlic, scallions, boneless, skin-on pork shoulder, asparagus, yukon potatoes, olive oil, kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, dark brown sugar, honey

Steps:
- In a large bowl, combine 1 cup (240 ml) of the soy sauce with the sugar, garlic, and scallions, stirring until mixed.
- Score the skin of the pork by slicing a crosshatch pattern through the skin down to the meat. This will help excess fat render out and allow more of the marinade to soak in.
- Place the pork in the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Marinate for one hour.
- Preheat the oven to 275ºF (140°C).
- On a baking sheet, place the asparagus halves to the right and diced potatoes to the left. Toss the vegetables with the oil, salt, and pepper. Place the marinated pork in the middle of the baking sheet.
- Bake 1 to 1 ½ hours, depending on the weight of the pork.
- Raise the heat of the oven to 500ºF (260ºC).
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, honey, and remaining soy sauce, stirring until smooth.
- Spoon the honey glaze over the top of the pork, making sure to fill the cracks and crevices on top.
- Bake for 20 minutes until sugar is dark brown and caramelized, and the top of the pork is crispy.
- Remove the vegetables and pork from the tray, making sure to save all the juices.
- Slice the pork into ½-inch (2 ½ cm) slices, and plate with the roasted vegetables. Spoon the reserved pan juices on top of the pork.

- In a small bowl, whisk the first nine ingredients until blended. Place onion in a 5-qt. slow cooker. Place roast, potatoes and carrots over onion. Pour sauce mixture over top. Cook, covered, on low 6-8 hours or until pork and potatoes are tender., Remove roast and vegetables from slow cooker; keep warm. Transfer cooking juices to a small saucepan; skim fat. Bring juices to a boil. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth; stir into cooking juices. Bring to a boil; cook and stir 1-2 minutes or until thickened. CROCK POT PORK ROAST, POTATOES, AND CARROTS
I decided to come up with my own Pork Roast recipe for a crock pot. I took a few ideas from the other recipes and this is what I came up with.

- Rinse and dry roast.
- Combine all dry seasonings and rub onto roast.
- Use olive oil to brown the roast.
- Deglaze pan with chicken broth.
- Place potatoes, carrots, and roast into crock pot and set to low for 6 hours.
SLOW COOKER PORK ROAST
I tried this cut of meat when it was on sale, and for lack of any other ideas I took suggestions from the back of the label, with a few tweaks (like making gravy). This is a very popular dish at our house, and it could not be easier! Instead of rubbing the roast with the onion soup mix and then adding the cranberry sauce, you can also just mix the onion soup mix with the cranberry sauce and pour the whole mixture over the roast.

- Rub pork roast all over with onion soup mix and place roast in the slow cooker. Pour cranberry sauce over roast.
- Cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours. Remove roast to a platter, reserving juices in the slow cooker.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Whisk flour into melted butter to form a paste. Pour reserved juices from the slow cooker into the butter mixture, whisking constantly, until gravy lightens in color and thickens, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
