Amazingly easy and amazingly good... too good! This is my mother-in-law's recipe that was just recently shared. It would be a shame not to share it. Best served warm and with vanilla ice cream (of course).

Ingredients

2 (21 ounce) cans cherry pie filling
1 (15.25 ounce) package white cake mix
¼ cup butter, melted
½ cup coarsely chopped pecans

Steps:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Spread cherry pie filling over the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking pan. Stir cake mix and butter together into a gooey, clumpy mixture. Break into pieces between your fingers and crumble evenly on top of the cherry filling. Sprinkle pecans on top.
Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown on top, 35 to 40 minutes.

1 box Yellow Cake Mix
42 oz Cherry Pie Filling (2 cans)
1/2 cup melted Butter

Steps:

Combine melted butter and cake mix in a bowl. Mix until well distributed.
Grease slow cooker.
Spread contents of both cans of cherries on bottom of slow cooker.
Crumble butter mixture over top of cherries.
Cover and cook on high for 2 hours or low for 4 hours.

1 box yellow cake mix
2/3 c melted butter

Steps:

1. Spray the inside of slow cooker with cooking spray or use a slow cooker liner. I use the small round slow cooker for this recipe.
2. Dump the two cans of pie filling in the bottom of slow cooker. Sprinkle the cake mix all over the cherries, completely covering. Drizzle with the melted butter.
3. Cover and cook for 4 hours on high. Do not open the lid to peek until done.
4. Serve with ice cream.
