This Frito Chili Pie is the perfect dish to serve for game day, at a party or for busy weeknights! Top Fritos with this chili recipe, cheese, shredded cheese, green onions, and your favorite toppings!

1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion (diced)
1 clove garlic (minced)
14 ounces can of kidney beans (undrained)
5.5 ounces can tomato paste
10 ounces can rotel (diced tomatoes and green chilies)
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1.5 teaspoon ground cumin
9.25 ounces bag of Fritos
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (if desired)

Steps:

  • In a large skillet or pot, brown the ground beef, onion, and garlic at medium heat.
  • Drain excess fat.
  • Add kidney beans, tomato paste, rotel, chili powder, salt, sugar, and cumin and stir until evenly blended.
  • Turn the heat down to medium-low and allow the mixture to simmer uncovered for 20 minutes.
  • Pour a bag of fritos onto a serving dish, or pour a single serving of fritos onto each person's plate.
  • Serve the chili over Fritos and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, and use desired toppings. (See additional topping ideas in notes!)

2 lb. ground chuck
3 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
1 can (12-14 ounce size) tomato sauce
1 can (10-ounce) Ro-tel (diced tomatoes and chilies)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground oregano
1 tbsp. ground cumin
2 tbsp. chili powder (more to taste)
1 can (14-ounce) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 can (14-ounce) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
1/4 c. masa (corn flour) or regular corn meal
1/2 c. warm water
Individual bags of Fritos
Grated sharp cheddar cheese
Diced red onion (optional)

Steps:

  • Brown ground chuck with garlic in a pot over medium-high heat. Add tomato sauce, Rotel, salt, oregano, cumin, and chili powder. Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 30 minutes. Add drained and rinsed beans. Stir to combine, then cover and simmer for another 20 minutes. Mix masa with water, then add to the chili. Stir to combine and simmer for a final 10 to 15 minutes. Set aside. Serve by slicing the Frito bags open lengthwise. Pile in chili and cheese, and diced onion if using. Serve immediately with plastic forks. A crowd-pleaser!

1 -26 ounce family tomato soup
1 (16 ounce) can bushes dark red kidney beans
1 (16 ounce) can bushes chili beans
1 (15 ounce) can ranch style beans
1 (8 ounce) package shredded cheese
1 -2 small white onion, for topping
1 -15 ounce Frito corn chip

Steps:

  • Cook hamburger meat - no need to drain if its not to greasy.
  • Add all cans
  • Mixture should be already warm enough for kids, cook a minute or two for adults
  • BAM your done.

I normally use one and don't use the entire bag of fritos. You can adjust the chili to frito ratio to your taste. More chili is always good.

1 (10 ounce) bag Fritos corn chips
2 (15 ounce) cans chili
1 (15 ounce) can tamales
2 cups cheddar cheese (grated)
1 cup onion (finely chopped)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Spray a square casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Line the bottom of casserole dish with tamales.
  • Top tamales with a thin layer of corn chips.
  • Spread 1 can of chili on top of corn chips.
  • Top chili with 1 cup cheese and 1/2 cup of chopped onion.
  • Add another layer of corn chips.
  • Cover with remaining chili.
  • Top chili with remaining cheese and onions.
  • Bake 30 minutes.

It is very easy to make, takes very little time, and the leftovers are great. It is a meal in itself, though I sometimes enjoy it with a couple of warm flour tortillas.

2 cans hormel chili (hot or mild, with or without beans)
1 small diced onion (optional)
sliced jalapeno (optional)
diced green chili (optional)
1 bag Fritos corn chips
3 cups shredded cheese

Steps:

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Heat the canned chili and any optional ingredients on the stove.
  • Spread a thin layer of Fritos along the bottom of an 8x8 or 9x9 baking dish.
  • Pour about half of the heated chili evenly over the bottom layer of Fritos.
  • Completely cover the chili layer with a thicker layer of Fritos.
  • Sprinkle about half the shredded cheese atop the Fritos.
  • Pour the remainder of the chili atop the Frito/cheese layer.
  • Completely cover the top chili layer with another thick layer of Fritos, then sprinkle on the remaining cheese.
  • Bake in 350 oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly around edges and top cheese is melted.

1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce

2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon parsley flakes, heaping

1 (8 ounce) package hungry jack biscuits (10)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Brown beef, onion& garlic until no longer pink.
  • Drain off excess fat.
  • Stir in flour and cook 1 minute.
  • Stir in chili seasoning, chili powder,tomato paste,water, corn& olives.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer covered for 10-15 minutes.
  • Take biscuits out of tube and separate in half.
  • Put bottom halves in the bottom of a 9" square pan or deep dish pie plate-- I spray mine with Pam first.

  • Top with remaining biscuits torn side down.
  • Sprinkle with cheese.
