CRISPY SESAME CHICKEN
Level up a take-out favorite by making this crispy sesame chicken in easy sticky sauce at home. Add rice or noodles for a delicious family dinner.

- Place the chicken in a bowl then add the egg and soy sauce. Massage the egg and soy into the chicken well then allow to sit for a few minutes while you make the sauce.
- To make the sauce, heat the oil in a large pan then cook for garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the soy sauce, water, sugar, vinegar and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer then pour in the cornstarch slurry. Reduce the heat then simmer until the sauce is thick and glossy. Remove from the heat and set aside.
- Heat enough oil to fry the chicken in a deep pan or pot. Place a wire rack over a sheetpan.
- Combine the flour and cornstarch in a separate bowl then coat the chicken in the flour mixture, making sure each piece is completely covered.
- Carefully add the chicken to the hot oil, cooking in batches to avoid over-crowding the pan, until the chicken is golden brown and crisp. Remove with a slotted spoon and allow to drain on the wire rack while you cook the remaining chicken.
- Place the pan with the sauce back on the heat and bring to a simmer. Add the fried chicken and sesame seeds to the pan then toss to coat the chicken in the sauce. Season to taste with more soy, vinegar or sesame oil as necessary then serve over rice or noodles.

- Add oil to heated nonstick skillet (for electric skillet, set at 360 degrees F).
- Cut chicken breast into bite-size pieces, sprinkling with salt and pepper if desired.
- Cook for 8 minutes more or until chicken is white in appearance and firm to the touch.
- Sprinkle with lemon juice and sesame seeds.
- Add mushroom slices, cooking 2-3 minutes more and serve hot with cream sauce.
- Cream Sauce:.
- Combine ingredients in blender or food processor and mix together for 15 seconds.
- Pour mixture and 1 cup whipping cream into saucepan, stirring over low heat.
- Sauce may be stored for up to 3 days.
- When reheating, add 6 tablespoons whipping cream and stir completely before serving.

- Pour salad dressing into a large resealable plastic bag. Add the chicken; seal bag and turn to coat. Refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight., Drain and discard marinade. Thread chicken onto metal or soaked wooden skewers. Moisten a paper towel with cooking oil; using long-handled tongs, lightly coat the grill rack., Grill skewers, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 10-15 minutes or until no longer pink, turning once., Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, coconut milk, peanut butter, lime juice, soy sauce and pepper flakes; sprinkle with cilantro. - In large Ziploc bag shake chicken pieces and 1/4 cup cornstarch. In large saucepan over medium heat add 2 tablespoons canola oil. Fry the chicken in batches; flipping over to brown both sides. Remove to plate when browned. Fry in batches; adding oil when necessary.
- In small sauce pan add one tablespoon canola oil. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey and chili sauce. Add 2 tablespoons cornstarch to water and whisk into sauce pan. Cook until slightly thickened.
- Wipe out the pan that you fried the chicken in. Turn the heat to medium high and add the sesame seeds and toast for 3-5 minutes or until lightly browned; stirring frequently. Remove toasted sesame seeds to bowl. Return the cooked chicken to skillet. Stir in sauce and sprinkle with scallions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve over rice or Chinese noodles.
