"When I needed a dessert in a hurry, I dressed up a brownie mix with on-hand ingredients to come up with this impressive treat," says Kristi Van Batavia of Kansas City, Missouri.

1 package fudge brownie mix (8-inch square pan size)
1 large egg
1/4 cup canola oil
1/4 cup water
1-1/2 cups vanilla or white chips, divided
14 to 16 milk chocolate kisses
14 to 16 striped chocolate kisses
1-1/2 teaspoons shortening

Steps:

In a large bowl, stir brownie mix, egg, oil and water until well blended. Fold in 1 cup vanilla chips. , Pour into a greased 9-in. heart-shaped or round springform pan. Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted 2 in. from edge of pan comes out clean., Let stand for 10 minutes; alternate milk chocolate and striped kisses around edge of pan with points toward center. Melt shortening and remaining chips; stir until smooth. Drizzle over brownie. Cool completely. Remove sides of springform pan before cutting.

Steps:

Prepare brownie mix according to package directions for fudge-like brownies. Fill paper-lined miniature muffin cups two-thirds full. , Bake at 350° for 18-21 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. , Immediately top each with a chocolate kiss. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely.

2/3 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2/3 cup butter, melted and divided
1/2 cup boiling water
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cups hershey miniature kisses (10 oz. pkg)
2/3 cup nuts, chopped (optional)

Steps:

Heat oven to 350°F Grease a 13"x9"x2" baking pan.
Combine cocoa and baking soda; stir mixture into 1/3 cup butter. Add boiling water; stir until thickened.
Stir in sugar, eggs, remaining 1/3 cup butter, and vanilla.
Blend in flour and salt. Stir in mini kisses and nuts (if desired).
Spread batter in prepared pan. Bake 35-40 minutes, or until edges begin to pull away from sides of pan.
Cool completely on wire rack. Cut into bars.

3 tablespoons water
1 egg
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
⅓ cup powdered sugar for rolling
48 HERSHEY'S® KISSES Brand Milk Chocolates or HERSHEY'S® KISSES Brand Candy Cane Candies

Steps:

Stir together brownie mix, cocoa and crushed peppermint candies in large bowl. Add contents of syrup pouch, water, egg and oil, beating until well blended. Refrigerate about 1 hour or until firm enough to roll.
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease. Remove wrappers from candies.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll balls in powdered sugar and place on prepared cookie sheet.
Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until set. (Some peppermint may melt out along edges of cookies. After removing from oven, immediately use edge of knife or spatula to push melted peppermint back to edges of cookie.) Cool 2 minutes. Press candy piece into center of each cookie. Slide parchment paper and cookies to wire rack or remove cookies from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
