FTB INTERACTIONS: AUTOMATING SEARED FURNACE FOR EFFICIENCY
The problem I have with large seared furnaces is that the large amount of slots feels wasted when items stack up and slow down smelting. There are clearly hundreds of other slots that these items could divide into individually and speed up smelting by a factor of 16. From reddit.com

TINKERS' CONSTRUCT, HOW DO I POWER THE SEARED FURNACE ... - REDDIT
As you are new to tinkers' maybe you confused the smeltery for the furnace. The smeltery is like your pic but uses a 'Smeltery controller' and is mainly used for ore doubling and alloying. (Requires a seared tank with lava to start melting) From reddit.com

SEARED FURNACE CONTROLLER, WHAT IS IT? : R/FEEDTHEBEAST - REDDIT
It's a multiblock furnace. Very nice expandable furnace capable of cooking 16 items per slot at once, using lava. The Tinker's book has all the details. There's also a multi-molten metal tank like the one from Tinker's Steelworks, but I've not really seen a need for it, tbh. From reddit.com
[ FTB : I ] QUESTION ON SEARED FURNACE : R/FEEDTHEBEAST - REDDIT
You can get some pulsating alloy ingot from the steam alloy smelter quest reward. Use those to make some early item conduits for item insert/extraction from the furnace. From reddit.com
Jun 3, 2019 It's a seared furnace controller, not a smeltery controller. Also, it seems like you again, didn't automate a thing. (Also, pure daisies, which are cheap AF, turn 1 grout into 1 seared stone, which can be broken down into 4 bricks, so...) From forum.feed-the-beast.com
