AMAZING LAYERED SEAFOOD DIP RECIPE

Steps:
- Cream the softened cream cheese until smooth. It's best to do this before adding in anything else to avoid lumps. I still sometimes get lumps - I just think of them as little dollops of joy.
- Add in the sour cream and Miracle Whip and cream until smooth.
- Spread the cream mixture in a cookie sheet, pizza pan, or even in a large pie plate.
- Spread the seafood sauce over the cream cheese layer.
- Evenly sprinkle the chunks of seafood (I love shrimp) over the sauce layer.
- Layer the veggies over the seafood layer, trying to spread them out as evenly as possible.
- Sprinkle the cheese over the top.
- Enjoy!
SEAFOOD DIP
Steps:
- Add cream cheese, mayonnaise, and juice from half a lemon (about 1.5 tablespoons of juice) to a food processor. Process until combined and smooth, about 1 to 2 minutes. Stop to scrape sides of processor with a spatula, as necessary.Note: Before juicing, zest your lemon (it's easier to zest that way).
- Spread mixture evenly over a round serving platter or plate, about 12 inches in diameter.
- Next, spread seafood sauce evenly over cream cheese mixture.
- Top with imitation crab, then celery, green onion, dill and black pepper.
- Squeeze remaining half of lemon (about 1.5 tablespoons of lemon juice) over the dip. Sprinkle with lemon zest and garnish with fresh dill, if using. Serve with your favourite crackers, chips or veggie sticks. Enjoy!
CRAB AND CREAM CHEESE DIP
Steps:
- Place 1/2 the crabmeat in the bowl of a food processor. Add 1/3 of the cream cheese, hot sauce, Worcestershire, horseradish, mustard, 2/3 of the green onions, salt, and pepper. Puree, running the processor for about 15 seconds. Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl with a rubber spatula, add 1/2 the remaining cream cheese, and puree until well blended, about 15 seconds. Stop and scrape the bowl again, add the remaining cream cheese, and process until well incorporated. Adjust seasoning. Fold in the remaining onions and crabmeat and serve as a dip. Or, to make canapes, reserve the remaining crabmeat, place the puree in a pastry bag, and pipe it onto crackers or toast points. Season the reserved crabmeat, and garnish the canapes with the crabmeat and the remaining green onions.
