Creamy Seafood Stuffed Shells image

These Creamy Seafood Stuffed Shells are the perfect pasta dish for your weeknight dinner or meal prep. This meal is loaded with crab meat, shrimp, lobster, and drizzled with a decadent cream sauce and gooey cheese.

1 1/2 tablespoons butter (Divided in 1 tablespoon and 1/2 tablespoon.)
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (Any milk will work.)
1/4 cup dry white wine (I use Pinot Grigio. Wine will provide immense flavor. You can substitute with any broth.)
3 garlic cloves (Minced)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan Reggiano Cheese
1/2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning (You can start with 1/4 teaspoon and taste repeatedly. Adjust to taste.)
salt and pepper to taste
20 jumbo pasta shells (A 12oz package will have more than enough shells.)
8 oz raw shrimp (Peeled and deveined. Chopped into 1/2-1 inch chunks.)
8 oz lobster meat
8 oz cream cheese
8 oz lump crab meat
2 cups finely chopped fresh spinach (You can also use frozen. Be sure to thaw and drain it first.)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (Divided into 1/2 cup portions.)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan Reggiano Cheese
1 1/2 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning (Substitute your favorite seafood seasoning if preferred. )
salt and pepper to taste

24 uncooked jumbo pasta shells
1 tablespoon finely chopped green pepper
1 tablespoon chopped red onion
1 teaspoon plus 1/4 cup butter, divided
2 cans (6 ounces each) lump crabmeat, drained
1 package (5 ounces) frozen cooked salad shrimp, thawed
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons plus 4 cups 2% milk, divided
1-1/2 teaspoons seafood seasoning, divided
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
1-1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. , Meanwhile, in a small skillet, saute green pepper and onion in 1 teaspoon butter until tender; set aside., In a large bowl, combine crab, shrimp, egg, mozzarella cheese, mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons milk, 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning, pepper and green pepper mixture., Preheat oven to 350°. Drain and rinse pasta; stuff each shell with 1 rounded tablespoon of seafood mixture. Place in a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. , In a small saucepan, melt remaining butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and coarsely ground pepper; gradually whisk in remaining milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese., Pour over stuffed shells. Sprinkle with remaining seafood seasoning. Bake, uncovered, 30-35 minutes or until bubbly.

I had this dish at an Italian restaurant, years ago. I loved it so much and raved about it, but when I went back, they had updated the menu, which involved removing my favorite dish! Well, guess that means I have to make it myself! So here it is, my home version!

12-16 uncooked jumbo pasta shells
1/2 small onion, minced
8-12 oz lump crabmeat, canned or frozen drained or "fake" and finely chopped
1/2+ lb raw shrimp, cleaned, deveined & chopped
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 (15 oz.) container ricotta cheese
1 bag(s) (8 oz.) bag shredded mozzarella cheese, divided in half
1/2 c fresh grated parmesan cheese, divided in half
1/4 c butter
1/4 c all-purpose flour
3 c half & half or whole milk
1/4 tsp salt & pepper to taste
2 tsp old bay seasoning

Steps:

  • 1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  • 2. In a large bowl, combine crab, chopped shrimp, egg, 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese, 1/2 of the parmesan and all of the ricotta cheese. Stir together until thoroughly combined.
  • 3. Preheat oven to 350°. Drain and rinse pasta with cold water.
  • 4. Spray a 13x9-in. glass baking dish with butter flavored cooking spray.
  • 5. Stuff each shell generously with the seafood mixture and place in baking dish.
  • 6. Melt butter over medium heat in pan. Add onions and saute until soft. Whisk in flour. Gradually whisk in milk or half & half. Simmer just until thickened. Add salt & pepper to taste.
  • 7. Pour Sauce over stuffed shells. Sprinkle each shell with remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Next sprinkle generously with Old Bay seasoning. Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes.
  • 8. Plate and serve!

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/2 cup pearl (Israeli) couscous
1/2 cup sugar snap peas, strings removed, then halved
1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
5 ounces peeled and deveined shrimp
1/4 cup dry white wine
1 small tomato, finely chopped
1 pinch of sugar
1 tablespoon chopped tarragon

Steps:

  • Cook couscous in well-salted boiling water, uncovered, until tender, about 10 minutes. Stir in sugar snaps 3 minutes before couscous is done. Drain and transfer to a bowl, then stir in 1/2 tablespoon butter and salt and pepper to taste.
  • While couscous and sugar snaps cook, toss shrimp with 1/8 teaspoon each of salt and pepper. Heat remaining tablespoon butter in a 10-inch heavy skillet over medium-high heat until foam subsides. Sauté shrimp, turning once, until just cooked through, about 3 minutes total. Transfer shrimp with a slotted spoon to a plate.
  • Add wine, tomato, and sugar to skillet and boil until tomato starts to fall apart, about 4 minutes. Return shrimp to skillet and stir in tarragon.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Serve shrimp and pan sauce on top of pearl couscous.

Shell shaped pasta with shrimp and peas, smothered in Alfredo sauce then sprinkled with grated parmasian cheese (if desired). *My kids ate this up. They liked it so much they had to name it. Its fast and easy not too expensive and you can make as much or as lttle as desired. Also tasted great as a lunch left over the next day.

4 cups shell pasta, shaped
2 (8 ounce) jars alfredo sauce
12 ounces peas
1 (5 lb) bag of ready to eat frozen shrimp (no tails)
1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Boil the shell noodles till tender.dont over cook them.
  • Pour noodles into a strainer and shake out all the excess water. Give the noodles a rinse while your at it. Place rinsed, drained noodles in a large bowl. Set aside.
  • Bring 4 cups of water to a boild and drop in the shrimp. You can have as many or as few shrimp as you desire. Let the shrimp boil till they turn pink and are hot to the touch. Strain the shrimp and pour them in with the noodles. Now open and drain the can of peas. Pour those in the bowl with the shrimp and noodles. Now add both jars of Alfredo sauce and mix well.
  • Try not to steal shrimp from the bowl or lick your fingers. Now sprinkle with Parmasian cheese and enjoy.
  • Fast simple and a real proven crowd pleaser!

16 ounces muellers sea pasta shells (or other brand, or your favorite noodle)
4 cups fresh broccoli florets, uncooked
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
4 garlic cloves, mince or 1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 tablespoon dried rosemary
1/4 cup sun-dried tomato, chopped fine
1/4 cup white wine (optional)
1 cup chicken broth or 1 cup vegetable broth
1 cup parmesan cheese
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • cook sea shells (noodles) to package directions, adding broccoli the last 2-3 minutes of cooking time.
  • Drain, cover, and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a larg skillet; add garlic, basil rosemary, and sun dried tomatoes.
  • cook 1 minute.
  • add wine and reduce by 1/2. Add broth.
  • Toss broccoli and shells with broth mixture and stir until heated through.
  • Add cheese and season to taste with salt and pepper.

1 tablespoon margarine or butter
1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
1/2 pound asparagus, cut into 1-inch pieces (1 1/2 cups)
1 1/2 cups frozen cooked large salad shrimp, thawed
2 cans (6 ounces each) crabmeat, drained (1 3/4 cups)
1 jar (17 ounces) Alfredo pasta sauce
2 tablespoons chopped fresh or 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°. Spray rectangular baking dish, 13x9x2 inches, with cooking spray. Cook and drain pasta shells as directed on package.
  • While shells are cooking, melt margarine in 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook onion and bell pepper in margarine 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until crisp-tender. Stir in asparagus. Cover and cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until asparagus is crisp-tender; remove from heat. Stir in shrimp, crabmeat, 1/2 cup of the pasta sauce and half of the basil.
  • Spread about 1/4 cup of the remaining sauce over bottom of baking dish. Fill each cooked pasta shell with about 2 tablespoons of the seafood mixture. Arrange in dish. Spoon remaining sauce over shells. Sprinkle each filled shell with Parmesan cheese and remaining basil. Bake uncovered 25 to 30 minutes or until bubbly.

2 cups cream-style cottage cheese

3/4 pound cooked small shrimp, peeled and deveined
