COUNTRY STYLE ASIAN BBQ RIBS

Country Style Asian BBQ Ribs image

Pork rib recipes! I'm always searching for easy rib recipes to keep my family happy - we are rib fanatics! Country Style Asian BBQ Ribs are boneless ribs in the oven....tender, juicy, and made in just 4 simple steps.

Provided by Chef Alli

Categories     Main Course

Time 10h20m

Number Of Ingredients 12

3-4 lbs boneless country style pork ribs
1/3 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup soy sauce (may use low sodium soy sauce)
1/2 cup rice vinegar
1/2 cup ketchup
2 Tbs. lemon juice
1 tsp. garlic powder or granulated garlic
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1 Tbs. sriracha (optional )
1 tsp. kosher salt (optional )
sliced scallions, as garnish ( optional)
sesame seeds, as garnish ( optional)

Steps:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the marinade ingredients; pour the prepared marinade into a heavy-duty gallon bag that has been placed into a large bowl. Add the pork ribs to the marinade and seal well; let the ribs marinate in the fridge for at least 8 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 250 degree F. Wrap two large rimmed baking sheets with heavy-duty foil.Remove the ribs from the marinade, patting each one dry; place the ribs onto one of the foil-lined baking sheets; cover with foil. **Reserve the marinade for use as a sauce later! Bake the ribs, covered, for 1 1/2 hours or until they are starting to become fork-tender. Remove the cooked ribs from the baking sheet (it will be full of grease after cooking the ribs) to the second foil-lined baking sheet.
  • Meanwhile, place the reserved marinade into a sauce pan over medium heat; bring to a boil, simmering the marinade until reduced, about 4-5 minutes. When the sauce is nicely reduced and thickened, remove it from the heat.
  • Slather the ribs with the sauce; continue to bake, uncovered this time, for an additional 30 minutes or until the ribs are very fork-tender, bubbly, and caramelized. Garnish with scallions and sesame seeds, if using. Serve the ribs with warm sauce on the side, if desired.

Easy Country-Style Pork Ribs in the Oven image

Country-style Pork Ribs ribs are a great rich and fall-apart tender alternative to traditional ribs. Cheap, easy to make, and SO good, this might just be your new favorite way to eat pork.

Provided by Tracy

Categories     Dinner

Time 3h15m

Number Of Ingredients 6

Foil
Roasting pan (or rimmed baking sheet)
Silicone basting brush (optional)
Country-style pork ribs*
Salt and pepper
Your favorite BBQ sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F. Salt and pepper both sides of your ribs and place in a single layer in your pan, fattier side up.
  • Cover the pan tightly with foil and bake for 2 hours. Carefully (steam and liquid in the tray will be hot!) remove ribs from the oven and check the meat. They should be starting to become tender. If they still feel tough, re-cover them and place them back in the oven for 15 to 30 minutes.
  • Transfer ribs to a plate and drain liquid from the pan. Return ribs to tray and brush with a generous coating of BBQ sauce.
  • Turn oven down to 275°F and bake ribs, uncovered, for 1 hour more, or until you can pull the meat apart with a fork (if your ribs were small and already pretty tender when you put them back in the oven, start checking after 20 minutes). Brush with another coat of BBQ sauce, rest for 5 minutes, serve and enjoy!

GRANDMA'S FALL OFF THE BONE BBQ COUNTRY STYLE PORK RIBS

Grandma's Fall Off the Bone BBQ Country Style Pork Ribs image

My Grandma's recipe for country style pork ribs baked in the oven are literally fall-off-the-bone tender and topped with jammy sweet onions in a homemade BBQ sauce.

Provided by Heidi

Categories     Main Course

Time 2h40m

Number Of Ingredients 16

5 pounds bone-in country style pork ribs
kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons canola oil
2 medium yellow onions (, sliced 3/8" thick)
3/4 cup ketchup
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup dry sherry wine
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic (, pressed or minced)
1 teaspoon kosher salt
3/4 teaspoon paprika
3/4 teaspoon chili powder

Steps:

  • Line a baking sheet with a cooling rack. Working in batches, season the pork ribs on all sides with kosher salt and black pepper and lightly toss in flour. Transfer the ribs to the baking sheet and set aside.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of the oil to a large cast iron skillet or dutch oven (with a lid) over medium/medium high heat. When the oil is warm and shimmering, brown the ribs in batches, turning on all sides until golden, about 15-20 minutes per batch. Be careful not to overcrowd the pan or the ribs will steam and won't get that delicious golden crust.
  • Transfer the browned ribs back to the baking sheet and wipe any burned pieces out of the pan. Add the remaining oil, and continue browning the rest of the ribs.
  • While the ribs are cooking, mix the BBQ sauce ingredients together and preheat the oven to 325°F.
  • Add all of the ribs back to the dutch oven, snuggling them evenly together. Scatter the tops with the sliced onions. Whisk the BBQ sauce and pour evenly over the onions and ribs.
  • Cover tightly with the lid and bake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until the onions are soft and jammy and the pork is tender. Midway through cooking, I usually open the oven and spoon the sauce over the ribs and onions.
  • Skim any excess fat from the sauce if needed (depending on how fatty the ribs are) and serve hot with au gratin or mashed potatoes with the sauce and onions spooned on top.

OVEN BAKED COUNTRY-STYLE RIBS

Oven Baked Country-Style Ribs image

Provided by A Family Feast

Categories     entree

Time 4h30m

Number Of Ingredients 3

6 pounds country-style pork ribs, about 8 meaty ribs
1 recipe of our Copycat Rib Tickler Rub
2 cups of your favorite BBQ sauce - we recommend this Cherry Noble BBQ Sauce or our Bourbon Barbecue Sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
  • Lay the ribs on your cutting board, then sprinkle Copycat Rib Tickler Rub over all sides of the pork.
  • Place the ribs bone-side down lined up in a 9X13 pan or casserole dish.
  • Cover with parchment and foil and bake for four hours. Ovens vary so check at 3 ½ hours and if the bone pulls right out, they are ready to come out of the oven. Ours took four hours.
  • Carefully remove ribs one at a time from the casserole dish and lay flat on a foil-lined sheet pan. They are really delicate so to keep from falling apart as you lift, support one side with a spatula and then lift out with tongs.
  • Brush on BBQ sauce and broil until they start to brown. Carefully flip, brush on more sauce, and broil again until they are slightly browned, then serve.

BONELESS COUNTRY STYLE PORK RIBS

Boneless Country Style Pork Ribs image

These tender, boneless country-style pork ribs are cooked low and slow for over 2 hours then slathered in your favorite BBQ sauce! Perfect for dinner, weekend lunches, or get-togethers, these ribs will definitely be one of your most requested meals!

Provided by Angela

Categories     BBQ     Dinner Recipes     Main Dish     Pork Dishes

Time 2h40m

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 1/2 lbs country style pork ribs ((boneless))
1/2 tsp each, salt & pepper ((to taste))
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup BBQ sauce ((or more, as desired))

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and trim any excess fat cap (an even layer of thick fat) from your boneless country style pork ribs as needed.
  • Season both sides of the country style ribs with salt and pepper, then arrange them on a couple of sheets of aluminum foil (large enough sheets to wrap around your pork ribs and seal securely). Place the foil with the ribs into a baking dish or onto a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Create the 'pouch' around your seasoned country style ribs, pulling up the sides so it will hold in the liquid, then pour the apple cider vinegar over the ribs. Seal the aluminum foil securely.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 2 hours or until your pork ribs are fork tender (small 4 ounce ribs may cook quickly, and large 10 ounce ribs may take a bit longer).
  • Remove from the oven and open the aluminum foil carefully (vent the steam away from your body!). Transfer the pork ribs to a clean sheet of aluminum foil and drain the fat from your baking dish or sheet pan, then discard the used aluminum foil.
  • Move the ribs back into your baking dish and coat all sides of the pork ribs generously with the BBQ sauce. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 20 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven when done and allow the pork ribs to rest for 10 minutes before serving. Slather with more BBQ sauce if desired.
