Ingredients

4 pounds fresh green beans, topped and tailed
16 slices thin bacon, cut into tiny pieces
1 large onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
Put the beans on 1 or 2 baking sheets. Sprinkle over the bacon and onions, and add the olive oil, salt and pepper. Toss around to mix and coat everything in oil.
Bake until the bacon is sizzling and the beans are starting to brown, 18 to 20 minutes.

Jazz up any boring Thanksgiving green bean casserole recipe with bacon. Creamy, savory Thanksgiving casserole will surely be the favorite Thanksgiving vegetable side dish at your Thanksgiving table.

Ingredients

Fresh green beans, trimmed, blanched until tender
cream of mushroom soup (10 3/4 oz)
milk
Worcestershire sauce
Freshly ground black pepper
French fried onions, divided
red bell pepper, finely diced
Sliced bacon, cooked, crumbled, divided

Steps:

When ready to cook, set the Traeger temperature to 350˚F and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine the green beans, mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, 2/3 cup of fried onions, 6 slices of crumbled bacon, and red bell pepper. Transfer to a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.
Place the casserole dish directly on the grill grates, close the lid, and cook until the filling is hot and bubbling, 35-40 minutes.
Top with the remaining onions and 2 slices of crumbled bacon and cook for 5-10 minutes, or until the onions are crisp and beginning to brown.
Remove from the grill and serve warm. Enjoy!
