Roasted Cabbage And Potatoes In The Crockpot Food

SLOW-COOKER CABBAGE, POTATOES AND BACON

Steps:

• Spray a large slow-cooker crock with nonstick cooking spray. Place the cabbage in the bottom, then add the onion and toss gently. Add the potatoes, caraway seeds, 3/4 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Sprinkle the potatoes with bacon and pour the beer over the potatoes and bacon.
• Cook until the potatoes are tender, 3 hours on the high setting or 6 to 7 hours on the low setting. Stir gently before serving.

ROASTED CABBAGE AND POTATOES IN THE CROCKPOT

Steps:

• Wash vegetables.
• cut potatoes into 1 inch chunks.
• cut cabbage into wedges.
• throw veggies into the crockpot with the whole garlic cloves.
• add olive oil, salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar.
• toss with hands to coat thoroughly.
• DO NOT ADD WATER.
• cook on high for 3 hours or low for 4-6 hours.
• The vegetables are done when the potatoes reach desired tenderness.
• The cabbage will get a little carmelized and crispy around the edges where they touch the crock walls. That's okay--it tastes good!

ROASTED POTATOES, LEEKS AND CABBAGE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a jellyroll pan with foil. Halve and core cabbage; cut each half into 6 wedges.
• In large bowl, combine cabbage, potatoes, leeks, oil, butter, caraway, salt and pepper; toss gently to coat. Spread in jellyroll pan.
• Roast, gently stirring twice, until potatoes are golden brown and vegetables are tender, about 35 minutes. If desired, sprinkle with parsley.

POTATO AND CABBAGE SOUP - CROCK POT

Steps:

• Combine slaw mix, potatoes, chicken broth and turkey ham in crock pot. Turn to high for 4-6 hours.
• Add milk the last 15-20 minutes and heat through - don't allow this to overheat/boil or it could separate
• Distribute into bowls and sprinkle with fresh ground pepper if desired.
