RICH FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE
Blending this decadent drink with freshly whipped cream gives it a deliciously fluffy texture. Serve with more whipped cream on top.

- In a saucepan, combine milk, chocolate, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Heat over medium, whisking frequently, until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth. Let cool. Transfer 1 cup to an ice-cube tray and freeze; refrigerate the rest.
- Whip cream to soft peaks. Blend two-thirds of the cream with both chilled and frozen hot chocolate. Divide into two glasses and top with remaining whipped cream.

- Combine the evaporated milk, chocolate syrup, vanilla and ice cubes in a blender and blend until completely smooth. Pour into glasses and garnish with a dollop of whipped topping or a sprinkling of chocolate shavings if desired.
FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE
Steps:
- Break the bittersweet chocolate into pieces and place it in a medium bowl set over a pot of simmering water, stirring occasionally, until just melted. Off the heat, whisk in the cocoa powder, sugar, and half-and-half and set aside.
- Place 3/4 cup of the milk, 2 tablespoons of the coffee liqueur, 1/2 teaspoon of the vanilla, and half of the chocolate mixture in a blender. Add 2 cups of the ice and blend for several minutes, until the mixture is thick but not icy, like a frozen daiquiri. (You can add a little more milk or ice if it's too thick or too thin.) Pour into two (10-ounce) ice cream soda glasses and top each with a generous dollop of whipped cream and some grated chocolate. Repeat for the second two glasses. Serve ice cold with straws and long-handled spoons.
- Place the cream, sugar, and vanilla in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment and beat on high speed until the cream forms very soft peaks (don't overbeat or the cream will be too firm).

Home made and ultra good! If this recipe proves to be too rich for you, simply add more milk to adjust it to your preference.

Oprah recently featured this treat as one of her favorite things. I ordered the mix from Serendipity in NYC. The food editor from our local paper went in search of the recipe after numerous requests from readers and here it is--straight from Serendipity 3 restaurant. When my mix arrives, I'll let you know how this recipe compares to the real deal.

Steps:
- Chop chocolate into small pieces and place in top of double boiler over simmering water, stirring occasionally until melted.
- Add chocolate mix and sugar, stirring constantly until thoroughly blended. Remove from heat and slowly add 1/2 cup milk, stirring until smooth.
- Cool to room temperature.
- In blender, place the remaining 1 cup milk, room-temperature chocolate mixture and ice.
- Blend on high speed until smooth and the consistency of a frozen daiquiri. Pour into a giant goblet and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
- Enjoy with a spoon or a straw.

- If making homemade mini marshmallows to top frozen hot chocolate, you will need to make them one day in advance.
- At least 12 hours or one day prior to making the frozen hot chocolate, freeze peeled avocado, 1 cup milk into ice cubes, and water into ice cubes if making your own ice.
- Make 1 batch of homemade chocolate fudge sauce. Set aside to cool completely. You can also place it in the refrigerator to cool fast, but don't leave it in there too long, you don't want it to harden. It's okay if it thickens up a bit, just don't allow it to completely solidify.
- Prepare high powered blender, add frozen avocado, frozen milk ice cubes, ice, milk, 3/4 of the chocolate fudge sauce {reserving 1/4 for topping frozen hot chocolate and/or drizzling in cups}, honey or maple syrup, avocado oil, vanilla extract, sea salt and collagen. Pulse until it's creamy, fully incorporated and combined and no chunks remain, about 1 minute depending on your blender {I use the ice cream setting or smoothie setting on mine, then pulse towards the end}.
