Reeses Mini Pieces Oatmeal Cookies Food
PEANUT BUTTER REESE'S PIECES COOKIES
The original recipe was Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies from Southern Living. I simply replaced the semisweet chocolate morsels in the original recipe with Reese's Pieces. My husband loves peanut butter and this is his favorite treat.

Steps:
- Beat peanut butter, butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add eggs and vanilla, beating until blended.
- Combine flour, soda, and salt in small bowl.
- Gradually add to butter mixture, beating well.
- Stir in Reese's Pieces.
- Drop by tablespoons onto lightly greased baking sheets.
- Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.

This recipe was on the back of the package of the mini pieces. I did change a bit to our liking. It made for a delicious cookie.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Beat shortening, brown sugar and granulated sugar in large bowl until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to creamed mixture, stirring after each addition. I stirred by hand.
- Stir in oats and candy pieces.
- Drop by tablespoons (I used tablespoon measuring spoon) onto cookie sheet.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Mine baked in 9 1/2 minutes. We like a chewy cookie so I take mine out just when the edges are browned.
- Leave on cookie sheet 2 minutes. Remove to wire rack. Cool completely.

- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats. (Always recommended for cookies.) Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until no brown sugar lumps remain. Whisk in the egg, then the peanut butter until combined. Finally, whisk in the vanilla. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix together with a large spoon or rubber spatula. The dough will be very soft and slick. Fold in the oats and the 1 and 1/4 cups chopped peanut butter cups, reserving the remaining 1/4 cup for later.
- Roll the dough into balls, about 3 Tablespoons of dough each. I highly suggest using a cookie scoop to make it easier. Place 8 balls of dough onto each cookie sheet.
