Here's the reduced-sugar version of our popular Christmas Tree JIGGLERS. There may be less sugar, but they are equally festive and crowd-pleasing!

2 cups boiling water, divided
4 pkg. (0.3 oz. each) JELL-O Lime Flavor Sugar Free Gelatin, divided
1 can (5 oz.) evaporated milk
1/4 cup multi-colored sprinkles

Steps:

  • Add 1-1/3 cups boiling water to 2 pkg. gelatin mixes in medium bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Pour into 8-inch-square dish sprayed with cooking spray. Refrigerate 25 to 30 min. or until set but not firm.
  • Meanwhile, add remaining boiling water to remaining gelatin mixes in medium bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Stir in evaporated milk. Refrigerate 15 min. or until slightly thickened; pour over gelatin layer in dish.
  • Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm. Unmold onto cutting board just before serving; cut into 4 rows, then cut each row into 7 alternating triangles. Garnish with sprinkles. Reserve gelatin trimmings for snacking.

4 pkg. (0.3 oz. each) JELL-O Sugar Free Gelatin, any 4 different flavors, divided
1 cup boiling water, divided
4 containers (6 oz. each) vanilla light nonfat yogurt, divided

Steps:

  • Spray 8x4-inch loaf pan with cooking spray. Whisk 1 pkg. gelatin mix, 1/4 cup boiling water and 1 container yogurt in medium microwaveable bowl until blended. Microwave on HIGH 2 min., stirring after each minute. Pour into prepared pan. Refrigerate 40 to 45 min. or until set but not firm.
  • Repeat with each remaining gelatin flavor to make a total of 4 layers, refrigerating as directed after each layer.
  • Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm. Unmold onto cutting board. Cut gelatin into 12 slices. Use 2-inch cookie cutters to cut gelatin into desired shapes. Reserve scraps for snacking.

Animal-Free Raspberry Vodka Gelatin Jigglers image

This recipe for vegetarian-friendly, alcoholic gelatin jigglers (think Jello Jigglers meets Jello shots) combines fruit flavored vodka, uses seaweed-derived gelatin called agar-agar (as opposed to nondescript gelatin, which is likely to be animal-derived), and reduces paper/plastic waste (no cups). The ratio of water to alcohol is 1:1, so these jigglers are quite alcoholic! For better taste/less alcohol, you might consider reducing the amount of alcohol to 1 1/2 cups and increasing the amount of boiling water to 2 1/2 cups. Of course, it's all a matter of personal taste and preference. The agar-agar powder can be found at your local South East Asian market.

2 cups water
1 (6 ounce) packet agar-agar, powder
2 cups raspberry vodka

Steps:

  • Prepare gelatin molds: use shallow pans or containers (non-stick metal, glass, aluminum, or plastic) or ready-made gelatin molds, applying it with non-stick cooking spray (recommended) or covering it with saran wrap (one whole piece covering bottom and edges of pan) for easy removal.
  • Boil water in saucepan.
  • Add packet agar-agar powder. Dissolve completely. Reduce heat. Let mixture simmer for 1 minute, stirring.
  • Remove from heat, then combine raspberry vodka.
  • Immediately pour mixture into container(s). Refrigerate until set (about 2 hours).
  • Finally, remove firm gelatin from refrigerator and container(s) and place onto clean, flat surface. Use cookie cutters to make jigglers or use knife to simply cut into cubes.
