16 ounces frozen peas (thawed)
2 celery ribs, chopped
3 green onions, chopped
1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts, chopped
1/8 cup bacon bits
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 package dry ranch dressing mix
1 cup cheddar cheese cube
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • Toss peas, celery, onions, water chestnuts, bacon bits and cheese to combine.
  • Combine mayo, sour cream, pepper, and dry ranch mix.
  • Fold dressing into vegetables and chill.

1 cup chopped cauliflower
1/4 cup chopped green onion

1 cup fat free ranch dressing
1/4 cup Bacos bacon bits

Steps:

  • combine and mix all ingredients except bacon chips cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or more.
  • Sprinkle bacon chips into salad before serving.

4 cups frozen peas (about 16 ounces), thawed
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup ranch salad dressing
1/3 cup chopped red onion
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled

Steps:

  • Combine the first 6 ingredients; toss to coat. Refrigerate, covered, at least 30 minutes. Stir in bacon before serving.

This easy salad came about in an attempt to satisfy my son who loves peas and my husband who doesn't. It has become a huge hit. You may want to double the recipe if you want any leftovers!

4 slices bacon
1 quart water
1 (16 ounce) package frozen green peas
⅓ cup chopped onions
½ cup Ranch dressing
½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Place bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat, and cook until evenly brown. Drain, crumble, and set aside.
  • Bring the water to a boil in a pot. Boil the peas 1 minute, until just tender, and drain. Cool peas under cold running water.
  • In a bowl, toss together bacon, peas, onion, Ranch dressing, and Cheddar cheese. Refrigerate 30 minutes or until chilled before serving.

1 cup fresh broccoli florets
1 cup fresh cauliflowerets
1 package (10 ounces) frozen peas, thawed
1 large celery rib, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced
1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
5 tablespoons reduced-fat ranch salad dressing
3 tablespoons fat-free sour cream
1/4 cup salted cashew pieces
2 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled

Steps:

  • Place broccoli and cauliflower in a steamer basket; place in a saucepan over 1 in. of water. Bring to a boil; cover and steam for 2-3 minutes. Rinse in cold water. In a large bowl, combine the broccoli, cauliflower, peas, celery and onions. , In a small bowl, combine the ranch dressing and sour cream. Stir into vegetable mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Just before serving, stir in cashews and bacon.
