1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder (such as MAGIC®)
¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
¼ teaspoon white sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ cup cold butter, cut into cubes
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (such as Kraft® Double Cheddar)
⅓ cup milk
2 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon parsley
½ teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • Mix flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, sugar, and salt together in a bowl; cut in butter using a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir Cheddar cheese into flour mixture; add 1/3 plus 2 tablespoons milk, mayonnaise, parsley, and garlic powder and mix until a soft dough forms.
  • Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth, 8 to 10 times. Pat dough into a 6-inch square and cut into 9 smaller squares. Arrange squares 2-inches apart on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes.

I LOVE Red Lobster's GC Biscuits, so I wanted to try to make them at home. A friend of mine found me a drop biscuit recipe and then I added to it. These didn't last long that's for sure!!!

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 teaspoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup melted butter or 3/4 cup margarine
1 cup milk
1/2-1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2-1 teaspoon garlic salt, depends on your taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  • Stir in milk and 1/2 cup butter just until moistened. Add Cheese.
  • Drop batter by tablespoon on lightly greased cookie sheet.
  • Meanwhile, add garlic salt to remaining melted butter.
  • Bake buscuits for 6 minutes.
  • Remove biscuits, drizzle with garlic butter and return to oven for another 6-7 minutes, or edges are golden.
  • After removing from oven but while still warm drizzle with garlic butter again.
  • Serve and enjoy!

1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cut into small cubes and chilled
1 1/2 cups freshly grated sharp Cheddar
2 tablespoons minced fresh curly parsley
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
Flakey sea salt, such as Maldon

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet with cooking spray.

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion
2/3 cup 2% milk
1/4 cup butter, melted

  • Preheat oven to 450°. Combine biscuit mix, cheese and onion in a large bowl.
