CREAM CHEESE LOG WITH SESAME AND SOY
This is a tasty and SIMPLE appetizer, a recipe from my friend Rocio (who got it from one of her friends). Asian flare and a crowd pleaser and takes 5 minutes to make it! You'll need some large wheat thins to go along with this. P.S. Feel free to whisk in 1/2 tsp of fresh grated ginger into the soy sauce before pouring it over the cheese log!

Steps:
- Take brick of cream cheese and place on wax paper. Form it into a log about 6 inches long or so (using the wax paper so your hands don't get yucky.
- On a plate, put mix the seeds and pepper. Place the cream cheese on the plate and roll in the seeds/pepper. You may have to pick up the seeds/pepper and place on the roll to get it totally covered. (You may need more seed/pepper mixture depending on how long you make your roll).
- Place the roll on a pretty, small platter. Pour soy sauce over top. You'll need a small knife for serving and it tastes best on large wheat thins.

SESAME SOY CREAM CHEESE SPREAD.
I got this from a friend years ago. Super simple to make. The combination sounds weird, but it works. Use more or less soy sauce to you taste. I like to serve this with Triscuit crackers. This needs to be made at least 4 hours ahead of serving time, but overnight is best. This will last a week in the refrigerator, covered. Enjoy!

SESAME SWEET AND SOUR SALAD DRESSING
This sweet and sour dressing is great for summer salads with grilled chicken or pork. My favorite is mixed dark greens with strawberries, blueberries, and feta cheese. Keep refrigerated between uses and always shake to mix before use.

CREAMY WASABI SPREAD
Sesame seeds create an attractive coating for this easy cracker spread. Be sure to watch when you're toasting them; they burn easily. You'll find rice crackers in the ethnic food aisle. You can use any flavor, but the wasabi ones are very tasty. -Tammie Balon, Boyce, Virginia

- Place the block of cream cheese in a flat bottom plastic bowl. With a knife poke holes in the soft cream cheese and pour soy sauce all over it. Let the cream cheese soak in the soy sauce. Flip the block of cream cheese over so the soy sauce soaks in on all sides.
- Move the block of cream cheese to a new dish with the toasted sesame seeds. Roll the block of cream cheese in the toasted sesame seeds. You can either buy pre-toasted sesame seeds, or you can toasted them yourself in a dry hot pan.
- Preheat oven to 250F. Place the cream cheese in an oven proof serving dish. Right before serving, warm the cream cheese appetizer for a short time in the oven (10-15minutes). Even though the recipe says "baked cream cheese", it's more like slightly warmed.
