CLASSIC CRISPY RICE TREATS
Gooey marshmallows and crispy rice cereal come together in this recipe for the all-original favorite. We added a splash of vanilla extract and pinch of salt to give these sweet treats a palatable punch. Cut into squares, store between a few pieces of wax paper (to prevent any sticking) and enjoy for up to three days.

Steps:
- Line a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with aluminum foil, leaving a 2-inch overhang on each of the longer sides. Spray the foil lightly with cooking spray.
- Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add the marshmallows and cook, stirring occasionally, until melted and smooth, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla and salt.
- Working quickly, add the rice cereal to the pot and stir with a rubber spatula until evenly coated. Transfer to the prepared baking dish and press into an even, compact layer. (Spray your hands with a little cooking spray to keep them from sticking when pressing the cereal mixture into the pan). Decorate with toppings if using (see Cook's Note).
- Let sit at room temperature until firm, about 30 minutes. Cut into 24 squares. Store the cereal treats at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

My mother was making these treats 40 years ago for her kids. My college age nephew asked me to make a batch for him yesterday and they are so easy and fast to make. Much less time consuming than a batch of cookies. And yummy too.

CHICK & EGG KRISPIES NEST EASTER TREATS
I make these little treats for my son to take to school. It's a perfect, cute little Easter treat. I serve them in the individual over-sized cupcake papers. You could use plain Rice Krispies and/or omit the chick.....still just as cute. Prep time does not include cooling and setting time.

BUNNEH'S BUNNY RABBIT TREATS
Bunneh LOVES these! After he has his treat, he thanks me by licking a hole in my arm, or darned near! You could replace the carrot with apple or pear, but keep in mind these are treats, not a regular diet/food, and should be given sparingly. For a bunny, 1 tablespoon of fruit a day is the maximum you should give your furball. Timothy hay pellets are the best type of pellets, Zupreem the best brand. Recipe adapted from Brenda Plaxton's.

Steps:
- Mix pureed carrot, mashed banana and honey in a medium bowl.
- Add ground pellets and ground oats. Mix until blended.
- Knead in your hands for 1-2 minutes. It'll probably be pretty sticky.
- Place dough on large piece of parchment paper and cover with plastic wrap. Roll dough to about 1/8" thickness. Peel off plastic wrap.
- Score flattened dough with large knife in 1-inch cross sections like tiles. You're not separating the tiles, just scoring them for easy breaking apart later.
- Transfer parchment onto cookie sheet and bake at 325F for about 30-40 minutes, checking to make sure they don't over-brown.
- Turn off the oven, leaving the cookie sheet in the oven for another hour until the treats dry to crispness.
- Remove from oven and cool completely on cooling rack.
- Break the tiles apart - easy! - and store in a zip lock bag in the fridge.
- Give one to your bunny on each day that he/she is adorable. (That's every day, of course!).
