- In a large bowl, with an electric mixer, beat cream cheese with cheddar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and a generous pinch of pepper until well combined. Mix in 1/4 cup pecans. Cover cheese mixture with plastic wrap, and chill at least 2 1/2 hours or up to overnight.
- Divide the cheese mixture in half, and shape each half into a ball. Spread remaining 3/4 cup pecans on a plate, and roll balls in pecans to coat completely, pressing nuts to adhere. Serve chilled.

This is a wonderfully simple and fabulously tasty cheese ball I always make around Christmastime, but it's great any time of the year! Prep time includes chilling time.

- Mix cream cheese, Old English, and Pimiento cheese spread together in large bowl until well-blended.
- Line a large,deeply-dished coffee mug or bowl with plastic wrap.
- Transfer cheese mixture to mug or bowl and cover with more plastic wrap.
- Chill for about two hours or until somewhat firm (the mixture will never become"hard.") After mixture has firmed up, remove the top layer of plastic wrap and invert the cheese ball onto a small plate.
- Remove remaining plastic wrap and cover the cheese ball with pecans.
- Chopped pecans may be used instead of pecan halves.
- Serve with apples and/or snack crackers.
- Note: This is not a firm cheese ball, and you'll probably never get it into a perfect ball shape.
- That's why a deeply-dished mug or bowl will help in the shaping process.

- Add ½ of the chopped red pepper, the spring onions, ½ of the pecans and ½ of the bacon to the bowl and mix to combine.
- Transfer the cheese mixture to a sheet of cling film and wrap it up. Shape into a ball and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the rest of the red pepper, the parsley, remaining pecans and bacon, and the poppy seeds.
- Remove the cheese ball from the cling film and roll it around the topping mixture until completely covered.
