- Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9-in. deep-dish pie plate. , In a small bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, beat egg and sugar until thick and lemon-colored. Stir in vanilla, then flour mixture. Fold in apple and walnuts., Transfer to prepared pie plate. Bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. (Cake will puff up, then fall when removed from oven.) With a knife, loosen sides from pie plate while still warm., Serve warm. If desired, top with whipped cream.

Steps:
- Get out and measure your ingredients.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Mix together egg and sugar until light and fluffy, either by hand or using a hand mixer.
- Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Combine with sugar mixture.
- Fold in apples and nuts.
- Spoon and spread in to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes. Allow to sit for about 5 minutes so the filling settles.
- Serve while warm.
- With syrup.
- Whipped cream or ice cream.
- Enjoy every bite!

OZARK FRESH APPLE CAKE
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 9"x12" baking pan with Pam. Peel and chop apples and place in large mixing bowl with lemon juice and stir until well coated. Set aside.
- In small mixing bowl cream eggs and sugar with mixer. Set aside. In large mixing bowl sift together dry ingredients. Add in egg mixture and mix. Stir in oil and mix well. Fold in apples, nuts and vanilla. Stir to mix well and spoon into baking dish.
- Bake on center rack of oven for 45 minutes. Remove from oven when toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean. Serve when cooled.

- 1 Preheat the oven to 325°F. Butter a 9-inch square baking dish.
- 2 Whisk together the flour and baking powder in a small bowl. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and salt until blended and frothy. While whisking vigorously, slowly add the sugar and whisk until thick. Stir in the apples, pecans, and vanilla. Stir in the flour mixture, stirring well to incorporate the dry ingredients.
- 3 Scrape the batter into the prepared dish and smooth the top. Bake until the top crust is browned and the filling is bubbly around the edges, about 40 minutes. Let cool at least 10 minutes before serving hot or at room temperature with the whipped cream.
