ONE-PAN PASTA
It's one of our most popular recipes and for good reason. This is our original one-pot pasta recipe, inspired by a dish one of our food editors ate in Puglia, Italy. All the ingredients cook together in a straight-sided skillet, you don't even need to boil water first-and it's on the table in just 20 minutes.

- Drain and return to pan.
- Add water and broth and stir well.
- Add tomato paste, tomatoes, salt& pepper, and bring to a boil.
- Break spaghetti in half, and stir while adding it in.

- I also had leftovers like white cooking wine& black olives, that I threw into the pot.
- Anything you would normally like in a spahghetti sauce can be used.
- Also, I was out of onions, so I used minced onions, which wasnt the same as real onions, but it did the job.

ONE-POT SPAGHETTI WITH FRESH TOMATO SAUCE
This one-pot meal is perfect for the beginner cook: Everything but the cheese goes into one skillet, and it all magically comes together. The tomato paste is here for a little flavor insurance, just in case your tomatoes aren't at their best. Feel free to add an extra tablespoon when they're out of season.

- Add the uncooked pasta to a large pot (or pan with deep sides). Add the remaining ingredients – except for the spinach – and mix well. Bring the pot to a boil over high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium low and cook the pasta for 10-14 minutes, until al-dente. Stir the mixture every 2 minutes to prevent anything from sticking to the bottom of the pan. (Note: cooking times will vary based on the type of pasta used. I suggest you start to check for doneness based on the minimum cook time on the package instructions)
- Turn the heat off and fold the spinach into the pasta. Once the spinach has wilted, divide the pasta into serving bowls and top as desired. This recipe is best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers will keep in the fridge for up to 5 days.

- In a large pot, brown the ground beef and onions over medium heat until almost all the pink is gone and the onions are translucent. If there is an excess amount of oil in the bottom of the pan, you can tilt the pan and spoon out the oil to discard. If there is only a little bit of oil, don't worry about it. The amount of fat at the bottom of the pan will depend entirely on the ground beef that you choose to use and its fat content. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes and marinara sauce. Cook, stirring on occasion, until boiling. Add the sugar, onion powder, Italian seasoning, thyme, salt and pepper; stir to combine.
- Break the spaghetti in half (or leave it whole, if desired) and add it to the pot along with the broth. Push the noodles down to submerge them in the sauce. Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce the heat to simmer, stirring every 5 minutes, for 15 minutes or until the pasta is done and the sauce is thicker.
