Steps:
- Sift flour, sugar, salt, soda, and cocoa together into a 9 x 13 inch ungreased cake pan. Make three wells. Pour oil into one well, vinegar into second, and vanilla into third well. Pour cold water over all, and stir well with fork.
- Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 to 40 minutes, or until tooth pick inserted comes out clean. Frost with your favorite icing.

ALL IN ONE PAN CAKE (AKA WACKY CAKE)
I thought this recipe looked familiar when I first saw it and I was right. My Mom used to make this cake for every birthday celebrated in the house but she called it wacky cake. What makes it wacky? There are no eggs or dairy in it.

Steps:
- In an 8x8 inch square baking pan combine the flour, cocoa, sugar, salt and baking soda. Mix until it is completely light brown.
- When it is mixed, make 4 dents in the mixture with a spoon, 2 large dents and 2 small dents.
- Pour the water into one of the large dents.
- Pour the oil into the other large dent.
- Pour vanilla into one of the small dents.
- Pour vinegar into the other small dent.
- Stir until well moistened.
- When batter is well mixed, smooth it out and spread into place with a spatula.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
- Cool the cake in the pan for 30 minutes before cutting it into squares.
CRAZY CAKE
I have been making this recipe since I was 12 years old.. my brothers and I knew that we could have a snack in less than an hour and only clean 1 bowl. This is a very moist chocolate cake that can be served to your vegetarian friends for it has no dairy products

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Sift the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt into an ungreased 8X8 glass baking dish.
- Make 3 depressions in the dry ingredients.
- Pour oil into one, vinegar into one, and vanilla into one.
- Pour water over all and mix thoroughly with a fork to moisten all dry ingredients.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

- Stir together flour, sugar, cocoa powder,baking soda and salt in an ungreased 12 x 8 inch baking pan.
- Make 3 wells in the mixture; pour oil in 1, vinegar in 1 and vanilla in 1.
- Pour in coffee and stir all with a fork until well mixed. Spread into even layer.
- Combine 1/3 cup sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle half of cinnamon over batter. bake in a 350 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
- Sprinkle remaining cinnamon sugar over hot cake. cool 15 or 20 minutes before cutting.
CRAZY SPICE CAKE
One-dish spice cake ... so easy! For some reason, my mother-in-law showed me how to make it twice... :) Make it in the cake pan, serve it straight out of the pan, and eat with some vanilla ice cream. - Stir flour, 1 1/2 cups sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt together in a 8x12-inch baking pan. Make 3 wells in the mixture. Pour oil, vinegar, and vanilla extract each into their own well. Pour water into the pan. Stir batter with a fork until well combined.

This is a cake that my grandmother used to make for birthdays and special events. I always would request it for my birthday because I like the pudding topping better then frosting. The cake is very moist and a bit more dense then regular cakes. I am going to write it down the same way that she had it written down before she passed away :) The recipe is for a 9x13 cake

- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cake:.
- Mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
- Make 3 hole.
- Add the vanilla to one well, vinegar to another, and oil to the last.
- Pour the 2 cups of water over it and mix well.
- Pour into a well oiled pan and bake 35-40 minutes.
- Topping:.
- Mix together sugar, corn starch and shaved chocolate in a sauce pan.
- Add the 3 cups of boiling water.
- Cook till smooth and thick.
- Add in the vanilla and butter, mix well.
- Pour over cake while the pudding is still warm. The cake doesn't have to cool before you do this either.
