DREAM BARS
Steps:
- Line a 9 by 13-inch baking pan with foil so that it covers the bottom and overhangs 2 sides by at least 1-inch. Tuck the overlap around the outside of the pan. Coat with nonstick vegetable spray.
- Set a rack in the middle of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees F.
- In a bowl, combine 1 cup of the flour, 1/2 cup of the brown sugar, and the pecans. Work in the butter, rubbing and pinching it between your fingertips, until the mixture looks mealy and lumpy. Lightly pat the streusel onto the bottom of the pan.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the eggs and the remaining 1/2 cup brown sugar until doubled in volume. Beat in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, sift together the remaining 1/2 cup flour, baking powder, and salt, then beat into the egg mixture. Spread on top of the streusel.
- Sprinkle on the coconut and the sweetened condensed milk. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the first tiny bubbles come up. Set on a rack to cool. Run a knife around the 2 unfoiled pan sides to loosen, then lift the whole cake out of the pan. Cut into 2-inch bars.
CARAMEL PECAN DREAM BARS
The first time I made this was for a friend's birthday party and everyone had to bring something fattening. This proved to be very popular.

- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease 13x9 inch pan.
- In large bowl, combine cake mix, margarine and egg.
- Mix at highest speed until crumbly.
- Press into prepared pan.
- In small bowl, beat milk, egg and vanilla until blended.
- Stir in pecans and toffee bits chips.
- Pour over base in pan; spread to cover.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25-35 minutes or until light and golden brown.
- Center may appear loose but will set upon cooling.
- Allow bars to cool completely before cutting.
RASPBERRY TREASURE DREAM BARS
This is a delicious bar cookie with a raspberry and chocolate layer between a shortbread bottom layer and a crumb topping top layer. These are Christmas tradition at our house.

- Combine shortbread layer ingredients with a fork or food processor until crumbly.
- Press into the bottom of a buttered 9x13 baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes at 350*, until lightly browned. Remove and let cool for 10 -15 minutes.
- Then spread the jam over the baked shortbread layer.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over jam layer.
- Combine Crumb topping ingredients with a fork or food processor until crumbly then sprinkle over chocolate chip layer.
- Bake at 350* for 15-20 minutes. Until top layer is lightly browned.

- Crust: In a large bowl, combine cake mix and melted butter, mixing until well blended. Press firmly into 13x9 inch greased pan.
- Bake 12-15 min or until light golden.
- Cool 10 min on a wire rack.
- Topping: Spread jam carefully over warm crust. In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Add eggs and lemon juice, mixing until smooth. Stir in nuts and coconut. Spread evenly over jam. Bake 20-25 min longer or until set and golden. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
- Cut into bars.
- Enjoy.

OMG!! RASPBERRY DREAM BARS
Welcome to heaven. This is one of the best desserts I have ever made. They are like Magic Bars but with different ingredients.... stuff I had left from Thanksgiving brunch. Just a tip, I found it easier to spread the raspberry jam after I had stirred it up a bit first. This is some tasty stuff right here!

- In a small bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, butter and sugar and stir with a fork.
- Press crumb mixture into a 9x13 pan. Flatten out with the bottom of a cup measure.
- Drizzle and spread condensed milk over the bread crumbs.
- Place in the freezer for 10 minutes to firm up a little.
- Spoon and gently spread raspberry jam over the top.
- Sprinkle coconut cashews and white chocolate chips over the top.
- press down gently with your hands.
- Bake at 350 for 35 minutes until coconut gets goldden brown.

GRANDMA ILA NELSON'S LEMON DREAM BARS
This recipe came from Whitefish, Montana and was given to me years ago by a dear friend. It had been passed down from her family for generations. I love the fragrance and flavor of lemons. This is by far the easiest and best tasting lemon bar I have come across. I have made it for bake sales, gifts, and simply to serve, and I always have requests for the recipe.

- For Crust: In medium sized bowl, stir together flour and powdered sugar.
- Cut in butter with pastry blender or the tines of two forks. Press into greased 10x15x1 pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10-15 minutes.
- For Filling: Beat together eggs, lemon juice, zest and juice of fresh lemon, flour, sugar, baking powder and coconut. Mix well and pour over hot crust. Return pan to oven and bake uncovered for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely on wire rack.
- For Frosting: Beat together butter, lemon juice, vanilla and powdered sugar. Spread over filling when cool.
- Cut into bars & serve. Store covered.

- For crust, beat butter with an electric mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds. Add the 3/4 cup powdered sugar; beat until combined, scraping sides of the bowl occasionally. Add the 2 cups flour; beat until combined. Press mixture into the bottom of a greased 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 20 minutes or until golden.
- Meanwhile, for filling, combine eggs, granulated sugar, lemon juice, orange peel, the 1/4 cup flour, and baking powder in a large mixing bowl. Beat for 2 minutes with an electric mixer until combined. Sprinkle berries over crust. Pour filling over berries, arranging berries evenly with a spoon.
- Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until light brown and filling is set. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Cut into bars. Just before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- Make-Ahead Tip: Cover and store in the refrigerator up to 2 days. Or, place cut bars in a storage container or freezer bag and freeze up to 1 month. Thaw, covered, in the refrigerator.

- Mix on high till crumbly.
- Press onto the bottom of a greased 9x13 pan.
- In small bowl, beat milk, egg, and maple flavoring until blended.

- Pour over cake mixture in pan, spread to cover.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2 baking dish. Beat margarine and sugar until fluffy.
- Combine oatmeal and flour in a small bowl. Add to creamed mixture of margarine and sugar. Mix well.
