Tangy Southwest dressing just like Newman's Own from McDonald's. Not available in stores...make your own!

Ingredients

2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp sour cream
2 tsp light Karo syrup ((agave or honey as substitutes))
1 tsp water ((or more to thin))
1/2 tsp cider vinegar
1/2 tsp lime juice
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dried cilantro
1 tsp McCormick hot mexican style chili powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp cumin
Romaine lettuce
cilantro
red onion
corn
black beans
grape tomatoes
thin sliced carrot
grated cheddar cheese
Mrs. Cubbison's southwest flavor tortilla strips (,)

Steps:

Whisk ingredients together in a medium sized bowl.
Place into an air-tight container and refrigerate to store.
Assemble the salad to your liking and top with the dressing.

I adore Newman's Own® Southwest salad dressing from McDonald's®. Sadly it's not available at any stores (that I can find). Play around to make it taste as you remember it. Enjoy!

Ingredients

1 cup vegan mayonnaise (such as Follow Your Heart® Veganaise®)
2 tablespoons water, or as needed
1 tablespoon agave nectar, or more to taste
2 teaspoons white apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
2 teaspoons lime juice
1 pinch cayenne pepper

Steps:

Blend vegan mayonnaise, water, agave nectar, vinegar, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, lime juice, and cayenne pepper in a blender until smooth. Keep refrigerated in an airtight container for 5 to 7 days.
