- Mix thoroughly in food processor: butter, powdered sugar, egg, vanilla and almond extract .
- Blend in flour, soda, and cream of tartar.
- Cover; chill 2 to 3 hours.
- Heat oven to 375 degrees. Divide dough in half. Roll each half 3/16" thick on lightly floured board. Cut into desired shapes; Place on parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- Bake 7 to 8 minuts or until light brown on edge.

- Combine powdered sugar, Just Whites dried egg whites with water and beat until it is a smooth. (Note: water can be adjusted to obtain desired consistency for dipping cookies in Glaze.).
- Separate Glaze into two bowls and add paste food coloring:.
- Tint Red for Christmas stocking cookie shapes.
- Tint Green for Christmas tree cookie shapes.
- Dip each cookie in glaze and let dry thoroughly prior to storing.

- Combine powdered sugar, powered egg whites and water until smooth. (Water can be adjusted to obtain the right consistency.)The consistency of the icing should be firm enough so that when a spoon is withdrawn, the icing which is drawn up will not settle back, but stay in exactly the shape drawn. However, do not make the icing too stiff or it will not flow freely through the decorator bag with tip.
- Separate Icing into separate bowls. Add a different color of Paste Food Coloring to each bowl of Icing to obtain the desired colors for decorating the cookies.
- Place the Piped Icing in a decorating bag fitted with a decorating tip and decorate cookies.
- Let cookies dry completely prior to storing them.

- In a large bowl using an electric mixer beat sugar and butter until light (about 5 minutes).
- Beat in egg and vanilla.
- In a small bowl mix together flour, baking powder and salt; add to the creamed mixture JUST to combine.
- Divide the dough in half and gather each pieces into a ball, then flatten into a disc.
- Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for a minimum of 2 hours or more, or freeze.
- Set oven to 325°F (second-lowest rack).
- Roll out one disc on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8-inch thickness.
- Using assorted cookie cutter cut out cookies and transfer to a ungreased cookie sheet, leaving 1-inch between cookies.
- Gather dough scraps and re-roll.
- Repeat with remaining dough disc.
- Bake cookies until pale golden (about 13 minutes).
- Transfer to racks and cool.
- Melt the white chocolate and spoon into a pastry bag (1/16-inch tip size) or just drizzle with a small spoon.
