Given to me my a friend, who knows a friend, etc........way back in 1987. The grinding of the oatmeal is critical. Bake these cookies on the second level from the bottom of the oven.

1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 ½ cups rolled oats
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.
  • Cream butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla until very smooth and fluffy.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. In a food processor, blend oatmeal until fine. Add to flour mixture.
  • Stir butter mixture into flour/oatmeal mixture. Blend well.
  • Add chocolate chips and walnuts. Stir until blended. Roll into golf balls size and bake for 8-10 minutes. You do not want to over bake these.

2 cups butter, softened
2 cups white sugar
2 cups packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
4 eggs
4 cups all-purpose flour
5 cups rolled oats
4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
8 ounces finely grated chocolate bar
3 cups chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
  • Cream together butter or margarine, white sugar, and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
  • Mix together in a separate bowl: salt, baking powder, baking soda, flour and oatmeal (put small amounts of oatmeal in blender until it turns to powder. Measure out 5 cups of oatmeal and only "powderize" that, NOT 5 cups "powderized" oatmeal).
  • Mix all of the above.
  • Add: chocolate chips, grated chocolate bar, and chopped nuts (any kind).
  • Bake on greased cookie sheet (make golf ball sized balls) and bake about two inches apart. Bake for 8 -10 minutes. Do not overbake.

2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup salted butter, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups mashed banana (about 3 large)
1 large egg
1 tsp real vanilla extract
3/4 cup (4 1/2 oz) semisweet chocolate chips, melted
1/2 cup heavy cream
2/3 cup (4 oz) semisweet chocolate, finely chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease an 8 by 8 inch baking pan. In medium bowl, combine flour and baking soda. Mix well with a wire whisk. Set aside. Blend brown sugar and butter in a mixer. Scrape sides of bowl. Add sour cream, banana, egg and vanilla and beat at medium speed until smooth. Add the flour mixture and blend until just combined. Do not overmix. Gently fold in the melted chocolate and stir just until a marbled pattern develops. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 40-50 minutes at or toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 15 minutes, then invert the pan onto a rack and cool to room temperature. To prepare ganache: Scald cream in a small saucepan. Remove from heat and add chocolate. Cover pan with lid and set aside. After about 15 minutes, stir frosting until it is smooth. Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes. Turn cake right side up onto a serving platter and frost liberally with the ganache.

3/4 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 tablespoon salt
1 cup HERSHEY'S® Mini Semi-Sweet Chocolate Baking Chips

Steps:

  • For the banana bread
  • Preheat oven to 350°. Brush 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with additional I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Spread; set aside.
  • Combine mashed banana, I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Spread, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla in large bowl with wooden spoon. Stir in flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt until blended. Stir in HERSHEY'S® Mini Semi-Sweet Chocolate Baking Chips then spoon into prepared pan.
  • Bake 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 20 minutes on wire rack; remove from pan and cool completely.

2 cups packed brown sugar
4 large eggs
2 tablespoons vanilla
4 cups flour
5 cups oatmeal (put in blender and make into flour)
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons baking powder
4 teaspoons baking soda
2 (12 ounce) bags chocolate chips
8 ounces Hershey Bars, grated
3 cups nuts, any kind of nuts (optional)

Steps:

  • Cream together butter, sugar and brown sugar.
  • Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
  • Mix together flour, oat flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
  • Stir in chocolate chips, grated Hershey bar and nuts (if using).
  • Drop by 1 1/2" balls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 375° for 6-10 minutes.
  • NOTE: If you want your cookies to spread out a bit more, flatten them a bit before baking.
  • Cookies will be soft but will firm up a bit after cooling.

  • Preheat oven to 300°F. In a medium bowl, combine four, soda and salt. Mix well and set aside. In a large bowl with an electric mixer, blend sugars at medium speed. Add butter and mix to form a grainy paste, scraping down the sides of the bowl. Add egg, liqueur and banana, and beat at medium speed until smooth. Add the flour mixture, 1 cup of the chocolate chips and the walnuts and blend at low speed until just combined. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets, 2 inches apart. Sprinkle cookies with chocolate chips, 6 to 8 per cookie. Bake 25 to 27 minutes until cookie edges begin to brown. Transfer immediately to a cool surface.

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat your oven to 160C. Line a 900g (23x13x7cm) loaf tin with parchment paper. Then put your 2 ripe bananas in a small bowl and mash them with a fork until they are a lumpy liquid consistency.
  • 2. Cream the butter and sugar together, using a hand mixer or a stand mixer, until they are pale and well blended together. Then keep the mixer on medium speed and add the eggs one by one. Add the banana to this mixture
  • 3. Weigh out the flour and add the bicarbonate of soda and baking powder to the measured flour. Add this to the banana mixture, stir well until all lumps are gone. Then mix in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the tin evenly and bake for 55 mins. When baked let it cool for about 10 minutes then take out of the tin.
