My Grandmother use to make this every Sunday Morning, if you have a sweet tooth in the morning this is GREAT!

Ingredients

2 c sugar
5 Tbsp cocoa, unsweetened
5 Tbsp self-rising flour
2 c hot water or milk

Steps:

1. Combine sugar, cocoa and flour. Add hot water or milk , Cook in heavy saucepan until it boils and thickens, serve with biscuits

Ingredients

1/2 cup(s) cocoa powder
1 1/2 cup(s) sugar
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1 cup(s) water
2 teaspoon(s) vanilla

Steps:

Mix the first four ingredients over medium heat. Once the mixture boils, boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
Can serve hot or cold over ice cream. Other serving ideas: mix 1-2 tsp with cold milk for chocolate milk; mix 1-2 tsp with hot milk for hot chocolate; or use this as a sauce over cheesecake.

4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
½ cup butter
3 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt
1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk

Steps:

Melt the chocolate and butter in a heavy pot over low heat, stirring constantly. Gradually stir in the sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and evaporated milk. Cook and stir until the mixture is thickened, 5 to 7 minutes.

Ingredients

4 ounces good quality bittersweet chocolate
5 large eggs, separated
2 teaspoons instant espresso dissolved in 1 teaspoon or two of boiling water so it makes a paste; cooled
Slivered toasted almonds
Whipped cream, optional

Steps:

Melt chocolate in the top of a double boiler. Add yolks, 1 at a time and stir (take care not to scramble). Add the coffee paste and let cool to room temperature. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into cooled chocolate mixture.
Refrigerate in a big bowl or in individual wine glasses. Serve garnish with slivered toasted almonds and whipped cream piped through a pastry bag.
