Pretty and tasty, this layered dips has become my signature appetizer. We make this for almost every party and family occasion we attend.-Melody Kieffer, Kirkland, Washington

Yield 4 cups.

Ingredients

1 carton (8 ounces) whipped cream cheese
3/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 jar (9 ounces) mango chutney
1/2 cup sweetened shredded coconut
1/3 cup chopped pecans, toasted
2 green onions, chopped
1/4 cup dried currants
Assorted crackers

Steps:

Place the cream cheese, cheddar cheese and curry powder in a small food processor; cover and pulse until blended. , Spread onto a 10-in. round serving platter. Spoon chutney over top; sprinkle with coconut, pecans, green onions and dried currants. Chill until serving. Serve with crackers.

We had a family reunion in Illinois Aug 17-20, 2018. This recipe was one Sherry brought (a cousin from Champagne Illinois) on Saturday, and was so amazingly good we asked her for the recipe.

Ingredients

2 c shredded cheddar cheese
1 c mayo
2 oz hormel bacon bits (the soft ones, not bacos)
2 green onions, sliced thin
4 oz sliced almonds or pecans

Steps:

1. Combine the cheddar and mayo, then add the bacon and onions, and nuts of your choice.
2. Sherry made this with the almonds, and served it with assorted crackers.

3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon whole milk
1/8 teaspoon almond extract
1 tablespoon chopped maraschino cherries

Steps:

In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, milk and extract until fluffy. Fold in cherries. Serve with bread, bagels and toast. Store in the refrigerator.
