This is my own interpretation of a smoothie recipe that my acupuncturist gave to me. It keeps me satisfied all morning while I am at work.

1 cup soy milk
2 tablespoons flax seed meal
1 cup Greek yogurt (such as Chobani®)
1 cup fresh strawberries
½ banana
3 ounces baby carrots, cut into chunks
1 tablespoon flaked coconut
1 cup frozen blueberries

Steps:

  • Pour soy milk and flax seeds into a blender. Allow flax seeds to soften, 1 to 3 minutes. Turn blender on and add yogurt, strawberries, banana, carrots, and coconut, blending well after each addition. Add blueberries and blend until smooth.

cup frozen unsweetened raspberries
1 cup frozen unsweetened blackberries
1 8-ounce container vanilla yogurt
1 cup reduced-fat (2%) milk
3 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Large pinch of ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in blender. Blend until thick and smooth, about 2 minutes. Pour into 2 large glasses and serve immediately.

1/2 cup instant tea powder (I like either Lipton Summer Peach or Lipton Wild Raspberry)

  • With the exception of the ice cubes, put the ingredients in a blender, then add ice cubes, one at a time, processing until blended.
  • For best results, serve immediately.
