Bisquick Cinnamon Rolls image

Bisquick Cinnamon Rolls are quick, easy and make just a small batch. Perfect for breakfast or brunch sweet roll cravings.

Provided by Julie Clark

Categories     Breakfast

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 1/4 cups Bisquick mix
2/3 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup butter ((softened))
1/3 cup brown sugar ((packed))
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/3 cup heavy cream ((warmed))
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon melted butter
1/2 teaspoon vanila extract
1 tablespoon heavy cream

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375º Fahrenheit. Spray an 8" round cake pan or pie plate with cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the baking mix and buttermilk to form a dough.
  • Sprinkle flour on a pastry mat or on the counter.
  • Using a rolling pin, roll the dough out to a 8x12" rectangle.
  • Spread with softened butter, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Roll the dough up jelly roll style, then slice into 6 equal slices.
  • Place the rolls into the prepared pan.
  • Pour warmed heavy cream over the rolls.
  • Bake for about 25 minutes or until the center roll is baked and not gooey. Pull up on the edge of a center roll to see if it looks done. Check the rolls at 20 minutes. If they are getting too brown, cover loosely with foil and continue to bake.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, butter, vanilla and cream. Drizzle in more cream if needed to get the consistency of the glaze you'd like.
  • Spread the glaze over the warm rolls.
  • Serve immediately. Store any leftover rolls in an airtight container at room temperature.

THE BEST CINNAMON ROLLS

The Best Cinnamon Rolls image

This is the result of a long line of experimenting and tweaking a cinnamon roll recipe I got the first time I went to the United States. I hope you enjoy it!

Provided by Angie's Online Recipe Review

Categories     Bread     Yeast Bread Recipes

Time 2h25m

Yield 12

Number Of Ingredients 18

1 cup milk
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
½ cup white sugar
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour, or more as needed
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup packed brown sugar
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
2 ½ tablespoons ground cinnamon
2 cups powdered sugar
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
⅛ teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Pour milk into a microwave-safe bowl and heat in the microwave until warm but not hot to the touch, 45 to 60 seconds. It should be about 105 degrees F (41 degrees C). Pour into the bowl of a standing mixer.
  • Add 1 tablespoon sugar and yeast to the warm milk. Stir and let sit (proof) until foamy, about 5 minutes. Add 1/2 cup sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract; stir with a dough hook until combined.
  • Add 4 cups flour, sea salt, and cinnamon; stir with the dough hook, starting on low speed and gradually increasing to high speed, until a large ball of smooth and slightly tacky dough is formed. Add 1 tablespoon flour at a time if dough seems too sticky, until a smooth ball is formed.
  • Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead with your hands until smooth and elastic, 3 to 5 minutes. Form into a ball and place inside a greased bowl. Cover the bowl with a warm, damp towel and let dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  • While the dough is rising, combine brown sugar, softened butter, and cinnamon for the filling in a small bowl until uniform throughout. Set aside.
  • Gently press the gas out of the dough and transfer to a large, floured work surface. Roll the dough into a 24x12-inch rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick. Spread the filling over the dough with greased hands or a greased spatula. Roll up the dough and cut into 12 equally sized rolls, about 2-inches long.
  • Line a 9x13-inch glass baking dish with lightly greased parchment paper. Place cinnamon rolls in the prepared baking dish in 4 rows of 3, evenly spaced. Cover and let rise until nearly doubled, about 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Bake rolls in the preheated oven until golden brown, 18 to 20 minutes.
  • While the rolls are baking, beat together powdered sugar, cream cheese, softened butter, vanilla extract, and salt for frosting. Keep at room temperature while rolls bake.
  • Spread frosting on warm rolls. Let cool before serving.

BISQUICK™ CINNAMON ROLLS

Bisquick™ Cinnamon Rolls image

These fast and easy Bisquick™ Cinnamon Rolls were one of the first things I learned to bake as a kid and they remain just as delicious today.

Provided by Karlynn Johnston

Categories     Baked Goods

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 1/2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix (plus extra for work surface)
2/3 cup milk
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/3 cup butter softened
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 cup raisins (optional)
1/2 batch Cinnamon Roll Frosting

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, stir the Bisquick mix, milk, and granulated sugar until a soft dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, slowly and gradually mix in enough Bisquick mix (up to 1/4 cup) until you are able to handle the dough.
  • Dust your work surface with extra Bisquick mix.
  • Place the dough onto the work surface and roll the dough in the mix to coat in the mixture all over it. Knead the dough 3-4 times to bring it together.
  • Using a rolling pin, roll the dough into a 12x9-inch rectangle. Taking a pastry brush, brush the softened butter all over the top of the dough.
  • Combine the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon together in a small bowl.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the butter evenly. Sprinkle raisins on top if desired.
  • Roll the dough up tightly, beginning at the 12-inch side, rolling like a jelly roll. Pinch the edges together to seal.
  • Cut the cinnamon buns into 1 inch thick slices, yielding 12 buns.
  • Place into the prepared 8x8 pan, doing three rows of four buns.
  • Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown - these can be baked up FAST and you don't want to overbake them!
  • Cool for 5 minutes.
  • Prepare the Cinnamon Roll Frosting and pour over top while they are still warm in the pan.
  • Serve while warm.
