TWO MINUTE LIVERWURST OR BRAUNSCHWEIGER PATE
A good jumping off point for an appetizer spread- increase the cream cheese, add onions or almonds, be creative! Also makes a pretty good sandwich . . . Cook time is chill time.

- Place all ingredients in bowl of food processor.
- Pulse process until smooth.
- Press mix into mold or small bowl lined with plastic wrap.
- Chill until firm.
- Unmold and garnish with chopped green onions, olives, etc.
- Serve with crackers or toast points (or even celery sticks!).

EASY LIVERWURST PATE
This is a quick and easy favorite for unexpected guests or to bring with you. I'dont remember where I got this, but I've been making it for years.

Steps:
- saute onion for 8-10 minutes in butter.
- Drain onions of excess butter and set aside.
- Mix liverwurst and softened cream cheese together in small bowl.
- Add onion and pepper, mix well.
- Store in refrigertor.
- Remove from refrigerator 1/2 hour before serving.
- Mix well and serve with crackers or toast points.
LIVERWURST PATE
This hors d'oeuvre is embarrassingly simple to make and I am always asked to bring it to gatherings. It makes people think I am a great cook! Easy and good!

- In a medium bowl, knead together liverwurst, garlic powder, basil and green onion.
- Place on serving tray and form into mound or square.
- Mix softened cream cheese, garlic powder, hot sauce and mayonnaise and frost the liverwurst stuff.
- Garnish with something appropriate to the occasion and serve with pumpernickel bread.

Steps:
- Cook pork belly about 70 minutes.
- Blanch liver and veal 5 minutes.
- Coarsely chop onions and saute briefly, should not change color.
- Grind meats and onion with 3mm blade of meat grinder.
- Add spices, salt and water thoroughly mixing all ingredients.
- Fill sausage casings, tie ends securely.
- Place sausages in water of 175 deg F and slowly bring up to 215 deg F (boiling) and continue cooking at that temperature for 60 minutes.
- If canning, use canning procedures, and cook 90 minutes.
- Liverwurst can be frozen.

- In a bowl, mix liverwurst with cream cheese and butter until soft and fluffy.
- Fold in olives and garlic.
- Place into serving bowl and chill.
- Cut the vegetables into desired pieces: slice the carrots and zucchini on the diagonal; remove stems from the mushrooms and flute caps; cut tomatoes into wedges; chunk celery; separate broccoli or cauliflower flowerets.
