Lemonade Float Food

LEMONADE FLOATS

Steps:

• Measure drink mix into cap to 1-qt. line.
• Empty drink mix in large plastic or glass pitcher. Add cold water; stir until drink mix is completely dissolved.
• Place 1 scoop of sorbet in each of 4 tall serving glasses. Pour lemonade over sorbet; stir before serving.

LEMONADE FLOAT

Steps:

• In tall glass, place the lemonade mix and ice, if using.
• Add the seltzer water and stir until the powder is dissolved.
• Float a large, rounded scoop on top of the lemonade.
• Serve with a straw and lemon wedges.

LEMONADE WITH LEMONADE ICE CUBES

Steps:

• In a large pitcher, whisk the lemon juice and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Add the water to taste. Fill 2 ice-cube trays with the lemonade and place a mint leaf and a piece of cut up orange segment in each compartment. Reserve the rest in the refrigerator. When frozen, turn them into a frozen bowl or an ice sculpture and place on a buffet with the pitcher of lemonade beside them to serve over the ice cubes.
• Notes about the recipe: I love making ice cubes with surprises inside that add more flavor to a drink once they melt. And why have a melting ice cubes dilute a drink? Make it from something flavorful and it will add rather than take away from the taste. At Tru I make pineapple water ice cubes with candied lemon rind imbedded and serve them with plum or rhubarb lemonade.

SPARKLING LEMONADE FLOATS

Steps:

• Stir together lemon juice and sugar and add cold water.
• Place a scoop of ice cream into 6 glasses and pour lemonade over to fill the glass 3/4 of the way. Top each glass with club soda and garnish with berries, lemon slices and mint.

PINK LEMONADE FLOATS

Steps:

• Scoop vanilla Ice cream into pitcher.
• Pour 1 cup of Pink Lemonade into pitcher.
• Spray whip cream in to pitcher, until it covers the top of pitcher.
• Garnish with lemons and Enjoy!
