2 cups sour cream
1 envelope ranch salad dressing mix
1 medium tomato, chopped
1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chiles, drained
1 can (2-1/4 ounces) sliced ripe olives, drained
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Corn chips or tortilla chips

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix sour cream and dressing mix; spread into a large shallow dish. Layer with tomato, green chiles, olives, onion and cheese. Refrigerate until serving. Serve with chips.

1 packet Hidden® Valley Ranch Dip Mix
4 strips bacon, cooked and chopped, 1 tablespoon reserved for garnish
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1 tablespoon reserved for garnish
2 green onions, chopped, 1 tablespoon reserved for garnish
1 teaspoon hot sauce, optional
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Vegetable chip, for serving

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, mix together the sour cream and Hidden Valley® Ranch Dip Mix until well combined and smooth. Add bacon, cheddar cheese, and green onions, and mix until well incorporated.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and drizzle with hot sauce, if using, then sprinkle with the reserved bacon, cheddar cheese, and green onions, and finish with the pepper. Serve with vegetable chips.
  • Enjoy!

A friend sent me this recipe! A creamy base is layered with cocktail sauce, veggies, seafood and cheese. It's a total crowd pleaser and will be a hit at any gathering.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
½ cup sour cream
¼ cup mayonnaise
1 cup cocktail sauce
½ cup chopped green bell pepper
3 green onions, chopped
1 tomato, seeded and chopped
1 cup cooked crabmeat
1 cup cooked baby shrimp
1 cup finely shredded mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, blend cream cheese, sour cream and mayonnaise.
  • In the bottom of an approximately 12 inch round serving dish, spread the cream cheese mixture. Pour cocktail sauce evenly over the mixture. Layer with green bell pepper, green onions and tomato. Top with crabmeat and shrimp. Sprinkle with mozzarella.
  • Cover and chill in the refrigerator at least 2 hours before serving.

1 ½ teaspoons ground cayenne pepper

Steps:

1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
1 cup lettuce, shredded

1/4 cup green onions, sliced or 1/4 cup red onion, chopped
1 (4 1/2 ounce) can jalapeno peppers, chopped or 1 (4 1/2 ounce) can green chilies, drained
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (about 4 oz.)

Steps:

  • In 2-quart shallow dish, combine dressing mix, mayonnaise and sour cream.

I took a recipe I found in a cook book for taco dip and another for ranch dip and made my own dip from it. This is wonderful and the ranch dressing gives this recipe a great kick. You could also serve this as a meal by adding 1 lb cooked ground beef on top of the refried beans.

1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
1 (8 ounce) can sour cream
1 (1/2 ounce) package buttermilk ranch salad dressing mix
3 roma tomatoes, seeded and finely chopped
1/2 cup olive, sliced and drained
6 tablespoons green onions, sliced
1/2 medium red bell pepper, chopped
1 cup Mexican blend cheese, shredded
1 1/2 cups lettuce, chopped
2 avocados, chopped
1 (16 ounce) bag tortilla chips

Steps:

  • In a 10-12 in pie plate, spread the refried beans.
  • In a small bowl, combine the sour cream and dressing mix and spread over the beans.
  • Place other ingredients on top of sour cream mixture in this order. Lettuce, tomatoes, olives, onions and bell pepper, avocado.
  • Then sprinkle with cheese and enjoy with tortilla chips.
