I got this recipe from the ever reliable Paula Deen. I only make it on special occasions because it's so rich and decadent that looking at it gives you a tooth ache!

Ingredients

24 krispy kreme glazed doughnuts
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can fruit cocktail
2 eggs, beaten
1 (9 ounce) box raisins
1 pinch salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter
3 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons white rum

Steps:

preheat oven to 350.
spray a 13x9 inch glass dish with cooking spray.
In a very large bowl, tear or cut the doughnuts into 1 inch cubes.
In another bowl combine the milk, fruit, eggs, raisins, salt and cinnamon.
Pour mixture over doughnuts and stir to combine.
Pour doughnut mixture into tray.
Bake the pudding for one hour.
To make the butter rum sauce, melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.Slowly stir in powdered sugar. Remove from heat and whisk in rum, pour over pudding.

Ingredients

2 dozen krispy kreme glazed doughnuts, torn in 1 inch pieces
2 (15 ounce) cans fruit cocktail (juices included)
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
1 cup raisins (optional)
2 eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 pinch salt
vanilla ice cream (optional)

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine ingredients, except ice cream, in a large bowl.
Let sit for 15 minutes.
Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until bread pudding has browned.
