Best Ever Hot Cocoa Mix image

White chocolate is the ingredient that provides a soft, creamy texture to this hot cocoa mix that's rich and chocolaty...and ready in less than five minutes. Recipe by Jeremy Sauer.

Ingredients

3 cups nonfat dry milk powder
2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 1/2 cups Dutch-processed cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps:

Combine ingredients in large bowl.
Working in two batches, pulse ingredients in food processor until chocolate is finely ground.
Store in airtight container for up to 3 months.
Too make hot cocoa, stir 1/3 cup of the mix into 1 cup of hot (not boiling) milk.
Top with whipped cream or mini marshmallows and a little chocolate powder. I sometimes use cinnamon or nutmeg powder, instead. A little brandy and a crackling fire make for a real treat!

After researching several recipies for hot cocoa mix, this is my family tasted and tested hot cocoa mix. I must give credit to Alton Brown's original recipe, then I put my stamp on it.

Ingredients

4 cups confectioners' sugar
3 cups powdered milk
2 cups powdered coffee creamer
1 cup cocoa
1 cup dark cocoa
2 teaspoons espresso powder
2 dashes cayenne pepper

Steps:

Sift the confectioners sugar and the cocoas into large bowl; add all other ingredients, mix thoroughly with whisk or spoon until mixture is all the same color.
Store mix in airtight container. Makes approximately 10 cups cocoa mix.
Directions: Fill mug with 1/3 of cocoa mix, add hot water, stir, enjoy.
