PERFECT BEEF BURGERS

- Sprinkle the ground beef evenly with 1/2 teaspoon salt in a large bowl. Gently form the meat into 4 balls, then lightly press into 4-inch-wide, 1-inch-thick patties. Make a 2-inch-wide indentation in the center of each with your thumb to prevent the burgers from bulging when grilled.
- Preheat a grill to high. Season the patties with salt and pepper. Grill, undisturbed, until marked on the bottom, 3 to 5 minutes. Turn and grill until the other side is marked and the patties feel firm, 3 to 5 more minutes; if desired, top each burger with 2 slices cheese during the last 2 minutes of cooking and cover with a disposable aluminum pan to melt.
- Serve the patties on the buns; top with lettuce and tomato.

Steps:
- Divide the meat into 4 equal portions (about 6 ounces each). Form each portion loosely into a 3/4-inch-thick burger and make a deep depression in the center with your thumb. Season both sides of each burger with salt and pepper.
- IF USING A GRILL: Heat a gas grill to high or heat coals in a charcoal grill until they glow bright orange and ash over. Brush the burgers with the oil. Grill the burgers until golden brown and slightly charred on the first side, about 3 minutes for beef and 5 minutes for turkey. Flip over the burgers. Cook beef burgers until golden brown and slightly charred on the second side, 4 minutes for medium rare (3 minutes if topping with cheese; see step 3) or until cooked to desired degree of doneness. Cook turkey burgers until cooked throughout, about 5 minutes on the second side.
- IF USING A GRILL PAN: Heat a grill pan over high heat on top of the stove. Cook the burgers as for a grill, above.
- IF USING A SAUTE PAN OR GRIDDLE (PREFERABLY CAST IRON): Heat the oil in the pan or griddle over high heat until the oil begins to shimmer. Cook the burgers until golden brown and slightly charred on the first side, about 3 minutes for beef and 5 minutes for turkey. Flip over the burgers. Cook beef burgers until golden brown and slightly charred on the second side, 4 minutes for medium rare (3 minutes if topping with cheese) or until cooked to desired degree of doneness. Cook turkey burgers until cooked throughout, about 5 minutes on the second side.
- Add the cheese, if using, to the tops of the burgers during the last minute of cooking and top with a basting cover, close the grill cover, or tent the burgers with aluminum foil to melt the cheese.
- Sandwich the hot burgers between the buns and serve immediately.

We all have our different tastes for burgers I like mine flavorful and juicy this recipe will give you the best of both! see the bottom of the recipe for tips on even more extra juicy burgers! --- making a indentation in the middle of the uncooked burger will prevent the burgers from puffing up into meatballs shapes while cooking and keeps them flat --- do not add any salt into the burger mixture as the dry onion soup already has a lot of salt content, you can sprinkle some on towards the end of cooking if needed, if desired you may add in 3-4 tablespoons of your favorite barbecue sauce to the ground beef mixture

- In a bowl crumble the ground beef with clean hands.
- Add in the dry soup mix, egg, garlic, breadcrumbs or crushed soda cracker crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper and hot sauce (if using).
- Using clean hands mix until combined, add in more breadcrumbs or cracker crumbs if needed to just hold the mixture together (do not overwork the meat or it will be tough).
- Divide the ground beef into 6 equal patties (or make 8 small patties).
- Using your large finger or the back of a small spoon make a shallow dent into the center of each patty (about 1-inch wide).
- Place the patties onto a large plate or a small cookie sheet; cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a minimum of 6 hours or up to 24 hours to blend flavors.
- Grill or pan fry the burgers as desired until cooked through (if desired sprinkle a small amount of seasoned salt on top while cooking the patties).
- Serve burgers in toasted buns with choice of condiments.
- TIPS FOR EXTRA JUICINESS; shape the hamburger into a ball, press 1 tablespoon cold butter into the middle then seal the meat around the ball then flatten into burger shapes ----or add in 2-4 tablespoons raw finely grated potato into the hamburger mixture then shape into patties, use no more than 4 tablespoons for 2 pounds of ground beef or the burgers will take on a meatloaf texture.

You call it passion for food, or the love of burgers - the truth is, there's nothing like a juicy and tender beef burger, made with simple ingredients in your very own kitchen. While you may have tried burgers in different restaurants, downtown cafes, or on a roadside restaurant, there's nothing quite like homemade beef burgers. Of course, for those who enjoy grilled chicken sandwiches, this post may be a little dry and dull. But for those who like the succulent and juicy beef patties, sandwiched in a hamburger bun with your favorite toppings, this is somewhere to call home! I'm as big as a food critic as much as I enjoy food. I like experimenting with food - of course, there are times when the experiments results in edible disasters, yet at other times the aroma and combination of ingredients work perfectly and turn out to be delectably delicious! The homemade beef patty is also a result of one of the more successful experiments. Originally, I didn't add the mustard and tomato ketchup in the recipe. However, it did turn out even better with the two ingredients, so it's now become more like a permanent part of the recipe. My favorite part of the recipe are the caramelized and sautéed onions in barbeque sauce. I think they add an extra zing to the burger. It just gives it that extra burst of flavor that you need to make the burger more delicious. - In a bowl, mix together; minced meat, eggs, chopped onion and coriander, mustard and tomato ketchup, ginger and garlic paste, black pepper and salt.
- Cover the mixture with a cling film and refrigerate for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- Take out the mixture and make patties of the mixture.
- Heat some Extra Virgin Olive Oil in a nonstick pan.
- Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side on medium heat.
- In another pan, sauté the sliced onion in barbeque sauce and set aside.

- Spread mayonnaise on the inside of the burger buns, place the beef patty, and top it with cheese slice, mustard, and sautéed onions and make a sandwich.
- Pat the burger on the tava griddle again for an extra crispy burger bun from the outside.
- Serve with French fries, or have as it with your favorite beverage!

- Shape the ground beef into three patties. Place the patties in a shallow dish.
- Combine the beer, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion salt, and pepper. Pour the marinade over the burgers. Refrigerate for 15 minutes. Flip the burgers over and marinate for an additional 15 minutes.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat, and lightly oil the grate.
- Place the patties on the hot grill and cook for 2 minutes before flipping them over. Cook the burgers to the desired degree of doneness, about 5 minutes per side for well done. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
