Jackies Salsa Food
JACKIE'S FRESH TOMATO SALSA
Steps:
- In a colander or strainer place the tomatoes and put colander on top of a bowl or pot to catch the water coming from the tomatoes. Add 2-1/2 tsp. salt and stir and let sit for at least one hour.
- In a medium bowl, stir together tomatoes, onion, chili peppers, cilantro, remaining salt, and lime juice.
- Chill for one hour in the refrigerator before serving.

This is a recipe of my DH Jack's. He makes this often in the summer; we like to use tomatoes from our garden.

Steps:
- Dice preceding ingredients by hand or use food processor or salsa maker.
- Let stand for about 20 minutes in the fridge.
- Serve with tortilla chips.
- (The onion may be omitted, but not the peppers, for those who don't like onions.).
- Serve with chips or over eggs, meat, etc.
