- In a medium saucepan combine onion, garlic, and Jack Daniel's. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 7 minutes or until the onion is translucent. Add ketchup, vinegar, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, liquid smoke, pepper, and salt. Mix well and simmer for 20 minutes. Puree in a food processor or blender. At this point the sauce can be refrigerated for at least 24 hours. You can also use it right away on the wings. Heat oil in a deep-fryer to 375 degrees. In a large bowl combine flour, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. In a small bowl whisk together egg and milk. Dip each piece of chicken in the egg mixture, and then roll in the flour mixture. Repeat so that each piece of chicken is double coated. Refrigerate the breaded chicken for 20 minutes. Fry chicken in the hot oil in batches until the outside is nicely browned and the juices run clear (about 5 minutes per batch). The internal temperature of the chicken should be 165 degrees. Drain on paper towels. Repeat until all of the chicken is gone. Mix cooked chicken pieces with the BBQ sauce and serve.

This is so yummy and simple! You just have to plan ahead as cook time is 2.5 hours! Note that you can use less than 40 oz of chicken and you can use wings, drumsticks, thighs, etc. I would recommend smaller pieces with bone in and skin on for juiciness and taste though.

Yummy Yummy Yummy - What more can I say. This is delicious, you wont regret going to the trouble of making it. The sauce is thick and creamy, the taste is hard to describe, it is unique and very good. You can just barely taste the Jack Daniels but it would not be the same without it.

Steps:
- Saute chicken breasts in butter (approx 7 minutes per side); wrap in foil and keep warm in 350* oven.
- Saute shallots.
- Add Jack Daniels and light with a match, flame will be high, let flame die down.
- Add broth and tarragon.
- Fast boil, uncovered, until sauce reduces to thick syrupy glaze (this takes longer than you think, approx 25 mins).
- Add lemon juice and cream; simmer until thickened (approx 15 mins).
- Put chicken breasts into sauce to coat.
- Serve with pasta or rice to utilize the yummy sauce.
- (I serve it with Penne Pasta and just toss the pasta in with the chicken and the sauce).

- Combine ingredients in a saucepan warm over medium heat until simmering.
- Once heated take out 1/4 cup and use to baste barbecue chicken while grilling.
- Barbecue the chicken breasts approximately 10 minutes turning every 2 minutes while basting.
- Spoon remaining sauce over chicken breasts as desired.
- As mentioned above, try this sauce on steak--it is so good as well it makes a great topper for burgers.

JACK DANIEL'S GRILLED CHICKEN - LOW CARB
I have not tried this chicken. I'm posting this for safe keeping. I found this recipe at Obesity Help. It was posted by hear_me_roar. Many of you are thinking....wait.....how can this be low carb with pineapple juice? Easy you're simply basting with it...allowing the acids in it to penetrate the meat. the sugars aren't able to penetrate the meat and are only on there during caramelization, so most will drip right off. This is a low carb feel good kinda meal.... so give it a whirl... (the alcohol does burn off, so no carbs from those either....)

- Combine all ingredients and mix well.
- Place meat in sauce let stand for no less than 2 hours and place on grill
- over hot coals or hot gas grill. When meat is turned, brush with sauce. (try to only turn once or twice for that nice caramelized coating).
- Just before meat is removed from grill, brush again with sauce.
- Serve with green beans on the side to keep it very low carb.
