GROUND BEEF ITALIAN MEATBALLS



Ground Beef Italian Meatballs image

1 pound ground beef ((80% lean))
½ cup panko breadcrumbs
¼ cup whole milk
1 whole egg
¼ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
¼ cup finely chopped yellow onion
2 garlic cloves ((finely minced))
2 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley leaves
1 tbsp finely chopped fresh basil leaves
½ tsp kosher salt
¼ tsp ground black pepper
½ tsp fennel seeds ((grind or crush with a knife) )

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  • Place the breadcrumbs in a large bowl then pour in the milk. Stir to combine, and soak.
  • Add egg and the remaining ingredients, except beef into the mixture. Whisk to combine.
  • Add the minced beef and mix with your hands until combined. Do not overmix.
  • Use a cookie scoop to grab some raw meat then gently roll between your hands to make perfectly-sized uniform meatballs (about 24 balls).
  • Arrange the meatballs on the prepared baking sheets. Do not overcrowd.
  • Bake the meatballs for about 10 minutes or until browned and cooked through. Let the meatballs rest for 5 minutes before serving.

This easy Italian ground beef casserole with noodles, marinara sauce, cheese, and crispy, flavorful seasoned breadcrumbs is pure comfort food!

8 ounces (about 1 ½ - 1 ¾ cups) uncooked penne pasta ((or other short pasta shape, such as mini penne, elbows, bowties, or fusilli))
1 lb. ground beef
1 cup diced onion ((about 1 small onion))
1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
12 ounces marinara sauce ((about half of a 24-ounce jar, about 1 ⅓ cups))
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes with basil, garlic, and oregano, not drained
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
¾ cup shredded Italian 5-cheese blend
1 tablespoon salted butter
⅓ cup seasoned panko breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Kosher salt and ground black pepper, to taste
Optional garnish: chopped fresh herbs, such as parsley or basil

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 2-quart baking dish; set aside.
  • In a large pot of well-salted water, cook the pasta according to the package directions for 1 minute less than al dente. Drain.
  • While the pasta cooks, brown the beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Add the garlic; cook for 1 more minute. Drain off excess fat.
  • Stir in marinara, diced tomatoes, and Italian seasoning.
  • Add the cooked, drained pasta to the beef mixture. Taste and season with kosher salt and ground black pepper. Transfer to the prepared baking dish.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  • Microwave the butter in a medium microwaveable bowl on high until melted, about 25 seconds. Stir in panko and Parmesan until fully coated; sprinkle evenly over the casserole.
  • Bake, uncovered, for about 25 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the inside of the casserole is heated through.

1/4 cup onion, chopped
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped

Steps:

  • Heat oil in pan until hot.
  • Combine green peppers, onions, basil, oregano, garlic and ground beef.
  • Cook for 5 to 10 minutes, making sure that the ground beef is fully cooked.
  • Once fully cooked, add ground beef to spagetti and tomato sauce of your choice, and you're done.

1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 lb ground beef
6 tablespoons parmesan cheese, divided
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon italian seasoning
hot cooked spaghetti

Steps:

  • Mix the first 7 ingredients.
  • Add ground beef, and 3 T parmesan and mix well.
  • Shape into 6 patties.
  • Brown patties for 2 minutes per side.
  • Mix tomato sauce and italian seasoning, pour over patties.
  • Reduce heat,cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Place spaghetti on plate.
  • Add pattie, and spoon sauce over.
  • Sprinkle with remaining parmesan cheese.

1-1/2 pounds bulk Italian sausage
1-1/2 pounds ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped green pepper
2 cans (15 ounces each) tomato sauce
2 cans (6 ounces each) tomato paste
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cans (8-3/4 ounces each) whole kernel corn, drained
2 cans (2-1/4 ounces each) sliced ripe olives, drained
1 package (16 ounces) wide noodles, cooked and drained
8 ounces cheddar cheese, cut into strips

Steps:

  • In a Dutch oven over medium heat, cook sausage, beef, onion and green pepper until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, water and seasonings; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Add corn and olives. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in noodles. , Pour into two greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dishes. Top with cheese. Cover and bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until heated through.

1 lb lean ground beef
1 package Hamburger Helper mix for beef pasta, for lasagna
2 -3 cloves fresh minced garlic
1 onion, chopped
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
3 cups hot water (more for a thinner sauce, less for a thicker sauce)
1 -2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
3/4 cup chopped tomato (about 1 medium)
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2-1 teaspoon dried oregano

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, brown the beef with onion and garlic, until beef is no longer pink; drain off any fat Mix in the Parmesan cheese into the beef mixture.
  • Stir in ingredients of the Hamberger Helper (do not add the noodles, they are to be boiled separately), water, mozzarella cheese, tomato, bell pepper and oregano.
  • Heat to a simmer, stirring occasionally, adding more water to obtain a desired thickness; simmer for 20-25 minutes.
  • In the meantime, boil the noodles from the Hamberger Helper package, until firm-tender.
  • Add to the cooked hamberger mixture; mix well.
  • Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
