- Tapa Cola. In late 1953, Pabst Brewing company out of Newark, New Jersey, entered into the soda market, only to abruptly abandon soda in the late 1950s.
- Veep. Coca-Cola was a prolific producer of various test brands and in 1961, produced two generations of a lemon-lime brand called Veep. This was discontinued around 1964, as Coca-Cola brought Sprite into existence.
- Patio. Pepsi Cola entered the test market shortly after Coca-Cola, bringing their diet soda to the shelves under the Patio brand label in 1963. By 1964, Diet Pepsi had hit the shelves.
- Tab. Arguably the most famous recently discontinued product occurred in 2020 when manufacturer Coca-Cola ended its Tab soda. Tab was introduced in 1963, evolving through quite a few design changes over the years.
- Light Rock Beverage. The Light Rock Beverage company canned soda for many years and produced two generations of canned soda in 32oz cone top cans, before going out of business in the 1950s.
- Davy Crockett. This Davy Crockett imitation grape soda can dates from 1957 and these rare items are valued at approximately $3,000. Part of this collectable's value is due to the can's rare solder seam manufacture.
- Roy Rogers. Also reportedly worth in the region of $3,000 is this Roy Rogers soda pop can, though to date from approximately 1966. Roy Rogers was a singer who became known as one of the most popular Western stars of his era.
- Big Wilt. Another spectacular example in Dave Tanner's soda collection was produced by the All Pro Bottling Company of New York, featuring an illustration of a young NBA great Wilt Chamberlain.
- U-Zo Grape. The Seven-Up Bottling Company in Eunice, LA served five local parishes, bottling, and canning several different brands of soda, including Nichol Kola, 7-Up, Kist, and Mustang punch.

- Diet Pepsi. Diet Pepsi was super popular in the 1990s, but sales have fallen drastically in recent years. While diet sodas first came onto the market in response to worries about sugary sodas, today there’s concern about the potential harms of ingesting artificial sweeteners and aspartame.
- Crocs. Crocs, the comfy foam footwear beloved by moms, campers and gardeners, may be seeing their final days. What's gone wrong? First, the shoes are so durable they last forever and don't really need replacing.
- Apple iPod. Apple called the arrival of its iPod in 2001 "the unveiling of a breakthrough digital device." Though the portable music player was more expensive than others on the market at the time, it would become a sensation.
- Victoria's Secret. Victoria's Secret — the lingerie brand known for its fashion shows and skimpy styles — is looking a little ragged these days. Analysts say with its in-your-face sexuality, dark stores, glam image and reliance on skinny models, Victoria's Secret has lost relevance with today's consumers.
- Campbell's Soup. Campbell's Soup is now more likely to appear on a graphic T-shirt than on the dinner table. U.S. consumers ages 18 to 34 are just no longer interested in the brand that once dominated the kitchen.
- Budweiser. Budweiser is no longer the "King of Beers." In early 2018, the brand fell to No. 4 in domestic beer sales in the United States. Customers are demanding new and more exciting alcoholic beverages, and the industry has been more than willing to provide them.
- Kodak. "Kodak moments" have moved to smartphones and Instagram — and the company once known for its cameras and film hasn't been able to bounce back since declaring bankruptcy in 2012.
- Harley Davidson. Even Harley Davidson motorcycles are falling victim to the changing shopping and transportation habits of younger consumers. With so many millennials choosing to use ride-hailing apps and public transportation over personal vehicles, Harley Davidson motorcycles could become a luxury item of the past.
- Jell-O. Jell-O may be iconic, but it's one of those products you're almost surprised to see in the supermarket. Really? They still make that? It's associated with childhood, cafeteria food and the molded dessert rings that Grandma always had on her holiday buffet.
- Gap. A long time ago, there was a jingle that invited consumers to "Fall into The Gap." But lately, shoppers have had more of a falling out with the clothing retailer.

- Diet Pepsi A.M. was the diet version of Pepsi A.M. marketed in the late 80s by Pepsi. There was no essential difference in the flavor of the sodas from regular Pepsi, but the products had 25% more caffeine.
- Diet Crystal Pepsi. Ah, what grand hopes there were from Crystal Clear Coke and Crystal Pepsi. And, of course, for Diet Crystal Pepsi, which came out in 1992.
- Tab Clear. Tab Clear was created by Coca-Cola as an answer to Crystal Pepsi. In fact, according to this Mental Floss aritcle, Tab Clear was designed to fail and thus bring down Crystal Pepsi with it.
- Pepsi Light. This saccharine-sweetened soda with a twist of lemon was introduced in 1975. Supposedly, the lemon flavor disguised the off-putting saccharine flavor.

- Diet 7UP Gold. 7UP Gold was a spicy, sugar-free soda with a hit of caffeine. This relic of the 1980s was even less of a success than the sugary version of 7UP Gold, which was comparable to an old-timey spiced ginger ale.
- Diet Jolt Cola. Jolt Cola had a diehard following for decades. Boasting twice the caffeine of a standard cola, this liquid energy source was on shelves long before energy drinks were a thing.
- Diet Coke Lime. Diet Coke Lime was actually quite a tasty beverage according to many fans, but it just wasn't moving enough units. In order to minimize bad press, Coca-Cola discontinued the beverage without much in the way of comment, simply ceasing production and shipments in 2018, according to BuzzFeed.
