Steps:
- In a saucepan, pour boiling water over tea bags; cover and steep 5 minutes.
- Remove tea bags from water, squeezing gently.
- Stir in 2 cups cold water and sweetener, stirring until sweetener dissolves.
- Serve over ice or let tea come to room temperature then serve over ice.

ICED HONEY GREEN TEA
Iced green tea is great in the summer -- it's cool, it's got that slight bitter edge, and it's full of healthy antioxidants. You can keep this in a pitcher in the refrigerator and drink it whenever you need something to help you cool down. I make it with decaffeinated green tea so I don't get all wired. I have also made it using "green tea with mint" and that was excellent chilled. This proportion assumes you are going to pour it over ice; you could probably water it down a bit if you are going to drink it without ice. I never sweeten my green tea, so I can't tell you how much honey or sweetener to use, but that's a matter of personal taste anyway. I got this idea from a box of Celestial Seasonings brand green tea.

Steps:
- Heat 2 cups water until very hot, not quite boiling.
- Pour over the tea bags in a heat-resistant container.
- Steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
- If you are using honey or another sweetener, add it to this hot tea.
- Add 2 cups of cold water.
- Refrigerate all the tea.
- Serve over ice.
MINTED MELON ICED HONEY GREEN TEA
Steps:
- Crush honeydew and mint with wooden spoon in 1-quart glass measuring cup. Stir in Pure Leaf™ Not Too Sweet Honey Green Tea. Strain and serve over ice. Garnish, if desired, with additional honeydew and mint sprigs.
- For a pitcher, simply double the recipe.
- For a cocktail version, simply add &frac1/4: cup vodka.
ICED GINGER GREEN TEA
Steps:
- Put the green tea bags into a heatproof container and pour in 1 quart boiling water. Let steep until it comes to room temperature, about 1 hour. Remove the tea bags and discard.
- While the tea is steeping, in a saucepan over medium-high heat, bring 1 cup water, the sugar, and ginger to a boil. Stir to dissolve the sugar, remove from the heat, and allow to cool to room temperature, about 1 hour. Store the tea and ginger simple syrup in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
- To serve, fill glasses with ice and pour in the tea. Sweeten, to taste, with the ginger simple syrup. Garnish with a slice of ginger. For the adults, top each with 1/2 cup prosecco, if desired.
