RED PEPPER MARTINI
Sweet and spicy, peppery vodka martinis. Serve as a savory before-dinner cocktail, or as a light alternative to a bloody mary at brunch. Amounts given below yield two cocktails.

Steps:
- First, line the rims with black pepper and salt if desired. Sprinkle a small plate with pepper and salt, run a lime wedge around the rims of two martini glasses, and dip the edges in the salt and pepper mixture.
- In a cocktail shaker, muddle the bell pepper, jalapeno, lime juice and garlic. You're done when the peppers have no more crunch left in them.
- Add the vodka, agave or simple syrup, hot sauce, a couple twists of freshly ground black pepper and a dash of salt. Fill the shaker with ice, top the shaker with its lid and shake it like crazy. Strain the mixture into the prepared glasses and serve immediately.

HOT CAYENNE PEPPER VODKA
This is something I found in a book a few years ago, tried and loved. It gets a nice pepper taste over time. It is great for Bloody Marys or male bonding. I understand you can vary the alcohol and the pepper to whatever fits, like rum and habaneros, brandy and bird peppers. I always have a bottle in the freezer.

Steps:
- Pour a shot or two of vodka out for yourself to compensate for the space the peppers will take.
- Cut a slit into each pepper. Remove seeds and inner tendril. Try to keep the peppers looking pretty.
- Insert each pepper into the bottle. Close bottle and store for at least 1 month if 80 proof, 3 months if 90 proof, the longer the better.

I first had this last year when a saw it in a liquor store with my Sister.We had it with my Mom and Dad it was great relaxing. If you like honey and spices you'll like this! Meant to be sipped slowly!

Steps:
- Heat sugar in 2 Tbs of water until it dissolves, then stir in the boiling water.
- Add vanilla bean, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon stick, peppercorns, and allspice berries.
- Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Strain the caramel mixture and return to the pan.
- Stir in honey and orange rind and heat, stirring, until the honey has completely dissolved.
- Bring to a boil.
- Remove the pan from the heat and gradually stir vodka.
- Serve hot or cold.
