I intend to spoil my cats for as long as they'll let me. You can substitute chicken broth or chicken soup for the bouillon and water if you choose. Just to clarify... THIS IS FOR CATS.

CATNIP TREATS (FOR CATS)

Catnip Treats (For Cats) image

This recipe was originally at www.divinerecipes.com, but I tweaked it. In the original it was suggested that you could use Tuna oil or Chicken stock/bouillon instead of the beef. It also said to form into biscuits by flatteng 1/2" balls of dough. Being lazy, I used my breadmaker to mix the ingredients and then did the rolling out method described below.

Time 1h

Yield 5 cups, 15 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup beef stock
1/2 cup powdered milk
2 tablespoons catnip

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients very well. (It can be very crumbly.).
  • Cut a sheet of parchment paper to fit your baking tray/cookie sheet.
  • Roll out flat to ~3mm thick (~1/8" thick) on the parchment paper.
  • Using a pizza wheel or sharp knife, cut the dough into cat-sized portions. I usually aim for pieces ~1cm (~0.5")square.

  • Bake at 180 degrees C (350 degrees F) for 30 minutes, or until the biscuits are slightly browned.
  • Cool before serving to your favourite feline!

BASIC BEEF AND RICE DINNER FOR CATS

Basic Beef and Rice Dinner for Cats image

Be sure to add your cat's daily supplements to each meal in the quantities recommended for each on the packages. A good quality vitamin/mineral supplement. A bone meal supplement. This can be either nutritional grade bone meal, finely crushed eggshells or a calcium lactate supplement. 250 to 500 mg. of taurine per day. Many owners will also provide oat grass or wheat grass plants for their cats to chew on. (Check to make sure that the grass you select is not toxic to cats. Several are.) RAFAELO'S MEATLOAF FOR CATS

Rafaelo's Meatloaf for Cats image

A home-cooked meal for your feline friend! My cats love this, try and see if your cat does too! If you're serving this to kittens, omit the liver or use just a little for added taste. Also remember to treat your cat daily to a vitamin pill if you're serving him/her mainly home-made food - you can crush it and mix into the meat loaf serving. The number of servings depends on the age and activity level of your cat.
