PEACH SANGRIA

Peach Sangria image

I love this homemade sangria that my Grandfather taught me to make when I was young wife. He told me he had learn to make when he was working down in Mexico in his younger days. It is easy but it does takes time to cure between steps. We have had mango sangria, peach-mango sangria, or pear-pineapple sangria. You can garnish with blueberries, mint leaves, or fresh peach slices if you would like.

BEST TRADITIONAL SPANISH SANGRIA RECIPE

Best Traditional Spanish Sangria Recipe image

This traditional Spanish sangria recipe is quick and easy to make, and delicious to drink on a hot summer day!

Provided by Lauren Aloise

Categories     Drinks

Time 2h10m

Number Of Ingredients 9

1.5 bottles of young table wine
2 oranges
1 lemon
1 cinnamon stick
3 tablespoons sugar (optional)
1 green apple (optional)
2 peaches or apricots (optional)
Carbonated beverage (lemon soda, orange soda, or soda water (optional))
2 ounces brandy or vermouth ((optional) you could sub any hard liquor of your choice)

Steps:

  • If using the sugar (which will make a sweeter sangria than if you omit), dissolve the sugar in two tablespoons of water over a low flame to create a clear simple syrup. Let cool.
  • Wash the oranges and cut off thick pieces of rind before juicing the oranges.
  • Juice the oranges.
  • Wash the lemon and cut off pieces of rind before juicing the lemon.
  • Juice the lemon.
  • In a large pitcher or bowl, stir together the wine, simple syrup, orange juice, lemon juice, and brandy (if using), and add in the pieces of lemon and orange rind. If making a truly traditional Spanish sangria, simply add the cinnamon stick and let sit at least two hours (preferably overnight) before serving over ice. This allows the sangria to take on the aromas of the fruit rind and cinnamon stick.
  • If you want to make a slightly more modern version (still not anything too crazy!) add in chopped up chunks of green apple and peach. For the modern version you can also top off with a carbonated beverage (lemon soda, orange soda, or soda water) right before serving for some bubbles.

SPARKLING PEACH SANGRIA

sparkling peach sangria image

Sparkling peach sangria is a classic example of a summer batch cocktail: add all of the ingredients to a pitcher and the flavor will develop over time. This summer refresher is pretty hands off!

Provided by Chrissie Nelson Rotko, www.offtheeatenpathblog.com

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 lemon, sliced

ice, as needed
sparkling water or club soda, as needed

PEACH MANGO SANGRIA

Peach Mango Sangria image

Peach Mango Sangria is the perfect way to cool down on a hot summer day. It is filled to the brim with fruit and a hint of basil.

Provided by Emily Koch

Categories     Drinks

Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 9

¼ cup honey
¼ cup filtered water
3 to 4 ripe peaches, chopped (I sliced 1 peach to keep the sangria pretty, and chopped the rest to make it easy to eat the fruit)
1 to 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped
1 orange, sliced into rounds
1 lemon sliced into rounds, seeds removed
6 to 8 fresh basil leaves, julliened
2 bottles (750 ML) of dry white wine, such as Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, or Chardonnay
Optional: Unflavored sparkling water

Steps:

  • To make the honey simple syrup, combine the honey and filtered water in a small sauce pot. Heat over high heat, stirring until the mixture comes to a boil. Immediately remove from the heat. Allow to cool completely.
  • Add all of the chopped and sliced fruit to a large pitcher. Add the basil on top of the fruit to help prevent bruising. Pour in the cooled honey simple syrup and the 2 bottles of wine. Use a wooden spoon to gently stir the sangria. Cover the pitcher and allow the sangria to chill in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours; 8 hours is best.
  • To serve, spoon some of the fruit from the pitcher into serving glasses. Pour in some sangria. Garnish with a slice of fresh peach, if desired. Optional, top with unflavored sparkling water. Serve immediately.
  • Drink any left-over sangria within 24 hours.

WHITE PEACH, TARRAGON AND BUBBLE SANGRIA

White Peach, Tarragon and Bubble Sangria image

Tapioca pearls add a bit of whimsy to this bubble-tea-like sangria that's flavored with honey-scented elderflower liqueur and fragrant white peaches. It's a delicate drink, perfect for an Easter brunch or spring party or to serve with grilled fish or vegetables.

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Categories     beverage

Time 4h45m

Yield 8 servings (8 cups)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 cup small-pearl tapioca
One 750-milliliter bottle dry Gewurztraminer or other dry white wine
2 cups white grape juice
1 cup elderflower liqueur, such as St-Germaine
1 cup loosely packed fresh tarragon leaves, roughly chopped
2 white peaches, pitted and cut into 1/4-inch-thick wedges
Ice

Steps:

  • Bring 6 cups water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add the tapioca, reduce the heat to medium and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 15 minutes. Strain the tapioca in a large sieve, and rinse under cold running water until cold. Spoon the tapioca into a 3-quart pitcher.
  • Add the wine, grape juice and liqueur to the pitcher, and stir to combine. Add the tarragon and peaches, and cover the pitcher with plastic wrap. Refrigerate the sangria to chill, at least 4 hours or up to overnight.
  • To serve, fill 8 glasses halfway with ice. Stir the sangria to redistribute the tapioca, then pour the sangria, fruit, and tapioca into each glass.

HONEYCRISP APPLE SANGRIA

Honeycrisp Apple Sangria image

This sangria is THE drink to make this fall. It combines red wine, brandy, cinnamon, apple cider, citrus, and of course - sweet honeycrisp apples! I highly suggest doubling the recipe because everyone will want more than 1 glass.

Provided by Sally

Categories     Drinks

Time 6h

Number Of Ingredients 9

3 cinnamon sticks (plus more for garnish)
2 honeycrisp apples, chopped
1 orange, thinly sliced
1 (750 ml) bottle red wine (I suggest a light-bodied Spanish variety)
1 and 3/4 cups homemade apple cider or store-bought*
1/2 cup brandy
1/4 cup orange juice (or juice from 2 medium oranges)
juice from 1 lemon
club soda, to taste

Steps:

  • Place the cinnamon sticks, apples, and orange slices in a large pitcher. Add wine, apple cider, brandy, orange juice, and lemon juice. Allow to sit in the refrigerator for 6 - 24 hours. Taste; if you'd like it to be sweeter, add 1-2 Tablespoons granulated sugar, honey, or agave.
  • If you'd like a cinnamon-sugar rim (highly recommended), simply moisten the rim of your glasses with water, turn the glass upside down and dip it into a mix of cinnamon and sugar. Pour in the sangria with fruit* and add a splash of club soda (this unsweetened fizz is wonderful with the sangria!). Garnish with a cinnamon stick, if desired. Cheers!
